Quickfire Interview With: Strybo

Hailing from Portugal, Deby Galvao aka Strybo is a rising female Producer whose versatile EDM/Bass compositions have been supported by none other than Krewella, SAYMYNAME, LAriots, Vavo, and many other big names in the music industry. On this occasion, I prepared a quick fire round of questions so that you discover her true self.

1 – You’ve been DJing and Producing since…

I have been producing for about 4 years but taking more seriously for about 2 years and the DJing career only this year!

2 – You got involved in the music realm because…

I’ve got involved in music because I’m a very curious person and every time I listened to a song I always wondered how was the structure, the sound design and how melodies were made in a DAW.

3 – Your sound is…

I think my sound is very versatile. If you listen to my tunes, each one of them is unique! Some are heavy some are way softer! You know, it depends on my mood and what I’m getting through my life. But describing my sound it’d be Wild, Melodic, Romantic and Weird.

4 – Your biggest inspiration is…

I get inspiration from a lot of artists! For example, in EDM my biggest inspirations are Krewella, Skrillex and Noisia! If it’s in other music styles it can be Hans Zimmer, Frank Sinatra or even Queen.

5 – Fans should listen to your new single “Heartbeat” because…

“Heartbeat” is a song that is an emotional song where the singer sings about a complicated relationship with someone!

7 –Your most memorable career moment so far has been…

I have a lot of memorable moments in my career! One of them was definitely one of my biggest inspirations in EDM, and with whom I’m friend with, Krewella, played my song in two of their sets as well as one of their Troll Mix. Also, this year, when I went to a L’eclerc, which is a French supermarket, they played my song “Leave You”. I almost cried in that moment because it was so awesome! Also, listening to your tunes in a famous national radio while driving it is awesome!

8 – Your dream is…

I have too many dreams and goals! I’d love to be featured on Trap Nation or NCS one day! I’d love to play at EDC, Tomorrowland, LIC, and UMF! And of course, do collaborations with my favorite artists!

9 – Your next release is called…

“Over Me!” A mix of two musical styles and two EDM genres: Jazz, Future Bass, and Dubstep. How cool, uh?

10 – Your all-time favourite track is…

Oh my god! This is a tough one! I have no idea… Hahaha

11 – Your favourite venue/club is…

I don’t have any because I haven’t played in clubs yet!

12 – If you weren’t a DJ and Producer you’d probably be…

A cook or a psychologist.

13 – You’ll only stop making music if…

I’ll never do it! Music is my everything!strybo music14 – In a few years, you want to be…

I want to be one of the most influential and inspiring female artists in EDM. I want to be an inspiration to other girls who are afraid to try new things and be themselves!

15 – What are you doing for the rest of the day?

Probably drink some cups of tea, chilling and producing!
