Ranzh Interview 2015Read the first interview of 2015, I got the chance to interview DJ Ranzh, who sheds some light on his origins. Discover more about his talented DJ life, and follow his steps!

1 – How do you describe your music to people?

I’d describe it as an unpredictable journey of colorful melodies with mind blowing basslines; music filled with energy, adrenaline, and addiction.

2 – Who are your musical influences?

For live shows, it has to be Tiesto. The magic he creates on stage is unexplainable. I saw a video of Tiesto backstage after his first ‘big show’. He was so happy, he was in tears. Just shows how much heart he puts into his music. Generally, there are many DJ/Producers that influence me musically (Hardwell, Mercer, Sandro Silva, Autoerotique, etc). Each Artist has a distinctive sound; I try my best to do the same.

3 – Do you have a formal music education?

I do not have any formal music education. When I was young, I would listen to tracks on the radio, and be able to play them on my Keyboard. Over time, I would create melodies, harmonies, and drum loops; putting pieces together like a puzzle. I learned how to use CDJS, MIDI players and music production software on my own. I have learned the basics, but all of my work is based on what I hear and how it makes me feel.

4. Who would you like to do a concert with?

Tiesto, Mercer, Sandro Silva, Hardwell, Bassjackers, JOOP, R3hab, Tony Romera, Laidback Luke, KSHMR…honestly, this list is endless.

5 – What distracts you while you are DJing?

So far, I’d say, DJing in a small DJ booth is distracting. I’m 6ft5; it’s tough to show my energy and passion if I have no room to be free.

6 – What is your favorite thing to see in the audience while you are DJing?

I love seeing people who are dancing with energy and enjoying the music. When the audience is smiling, I’m smiling. That’s what it’s all about.

7 – Do you ever give your music away for free?

Yes! I have mashups available on my facebook page at www.facebook.com/ranzhofficial under the ‘free downloads’ tab. There will be 3-4 exclusive mashups available each month. Download, share, and dance!

8 – What is your favorite mashup ever?

Deadmau5 vs Ralvero – Rage N Stuff (Hardwell Mashup).

9 – Do you have an upcoming track on the Hammarica Label? Tell us more about it.

Yes. Simply put, it’s an energetic track made for the dance floors. I hope everyone enjoys it!

10 – How did you get discovered by Hammarica?

I’ve put many hours of work towards producing music. After listening to my demo, Hammrica decided to work with me.
