DJ Richie Hawtin came a long way. In the early 90′s, he was known as one of the instigators of the global Techno scene. From the sleepy Canadian town of Windsor where he lived, he used to drive to Detroit to lay down the sickest acid beats in the rowdiest warehouses.
As he gets older, he has decided to settle down in a new place. And ultimately decided on New York State.
As only you would expect from Richie Hawtin, the house he bought is essentially a retrofit of a nuclear missile base turned residence ready for the apocalypse.
It is a one-of-a-kind unique property in the world, with its strength, history, and now its opulent refurbishment into a living space. It has an incredible balance of natural beauty and technological innovation. Pristine mountain property and panoramic views.
The complex, accessible via its own private paved airstrip, offers the optimum level of security and privacy available today.
The house features a complete underground section including a Silo/skyscraper structure which Richie plans to modify to a nightclub for private events.
