Chicago is home to great rising artists. In the case of Thamatic and Taj McCoy, I think they’re ready for a major label deal. They joined forces to drop “Ultraviolet”, a tribute song honoring Ahmaud Arbery and George Perry Floyd. This would not have been possible without the collaboration of international producer Aman Dembla.
After the success of the EDM futuristic concept EP ‘The Cyberpunk Trilogy’, Thamatic decided to work with many artists from diverse musical backgrounds. Sincerely, “Ultraviolet” serves as a call to stop the violence and all forms of racism and hate at the present time. On a side note, it’s one of the hardest songs they’ve written during this pandemic.
You can expect a smooth intro with thought-provoking lyrics and haunting vocals, then Rap verses merge with hard-hitting beats. Obviously, the results speak for themselves. Socially conscious tracks like this one are as powerful as peaceful protests when it comes to spurring social change. Stream “Ultraviolet” in full via SoundCloud down here.
