Rising Talent Ansolo & Maxum Team Up For "Yin Yang" On DOORN Records
It’s rare to find multitalented artists banding together at a young age, but that’s exactly what happened when Ansolo, 21, and Maxum, 18, met hanging out attending Ultra Music Festival in 2015. The two began working on what is now their first release, “Yin Yang“, together when Maxum flew from his base city Toronto to New York to kick things off. They finished the project while Ansel was filming the Divergentseries movie Allegiant in Atlanta and would work via Skype between takes. “Yin Yang” was the result, and this driving, danceable house track is a triumphant first collaboration for the two up-and-coming artists. With its electro-esque basslines and funky riffs, “Yin Yang” will be a popular choice to make the dance floor sweat in clubs around the globe. “Yin Yang” will be released on Sander van Doorn‘s well known sublabel of Spinnin Records, which also plays home to fellow rising stars such as Bob SinclairQuintino, and Gregor Salto.

If you don’t know the name Ansolo yet, you’ve probably seen Ansel Elgort on the big screen at least once in the past year. The producer is even better known for his acting career as the lead in films such as the Divergent series and The Fault in Our Stars. Juggling two successful careers, it’s no doubt that Ansolo is just tapping into his ability to impress. Nick Henriques – better known as Maxum – is another fresh face in the dance music scene with big promise; the Canadian teen has a knack for producing music that fuses soulful, old school vibes with a new and progressive sound. His raw talent has already granted him outstanding opportunities, like a debut appearance at legendary Guvernment Nightclub, main stage duties at Digital Dreams Festival, a remix for Galantis‘ famous “Peanut Butter Jelly” and now “Yin Yang“. Already supported by top players like Steve AngelloMartin GarrixNicky RomeroAviciiR3hab among others. Based on his track record thus far, Maxum has nowhere to go but up. Stay tuned for more from these talented producers, and in the meantime find your zen on the dance floor with “Yin Yang“.

Published

Waysons
Swiss duo Waysons makes their triumphant return to CYB3RPVNK with single “New World”, a bumping progressive house track that puts a modern spin on a classic sound. Opening with rich soundscapes, it quickly breaks down into a groovy, driving bassline that is complemented by rising melodies and upbeat percussion. Waysons employ distorted vocal riffs throughout to add an emotive uplifting quality to the release that places it solidly in the realm of nostalgic from 2007-2010, such as Wippenberg’s “Chakalaka.” After their music caught the attention of R3HAB, the up-and-coming duo premiered on CYB3RPVNK last year by remixing his track “The Wave,” following by their collaborations “Shanghai” and “Tell Me It’s OK” with him. Now diving into the progressive house sound, Waysons is prepared to take you back to the golden age with “New World.”
