They’ve shared line-ups for over a decade, turned festival crowds upside down, and chilled backstage more times than they can count – but Robin Schulz and Steve Aoki had never actually dropped a track together. That changes today with “Bloodtype,” as the two DJ/producer powerhouses finally unleash their first-ever studio collaboration.

Joining them in the studio is London-based producer LAWRENT, whose distinctive productions have long been making waves far beyond his adopted hometown. “Bloodtype” is a no-compromise club banger – dark, charged, and throbbing with energy.

On this one, Robin Schulz leans harder into electronic territory than he has in a while. Following up on his May release “Freaking You Out” (with NERVO), he dives even deeper into his club-driven side – powered by Aoki‘s raw energy, LAWRENT’s sound design, and a perfectly dialed-in instinct for musical escalation.

Bloodtype Bass House

The production feels like a controlled storm: erupting basslines, blown-out white noise, frenzied beats – as if someone ripped out the fuses in the engine room. The sound design constantly teeters on the edge, threatening to tip over at any moment, yet never losing control.

Lyrically, “Bloodtype” captures a moment that could only happen in a club: flashes of light, blurred outlines, eyes locking across the dance floor – and suddenly, sparks fly. “Imma give you my bloodtype / Baby, you’re just my bloodtype,” goes the hook.

What follows is clear: “Back to my place” – not a romantic movie, more like a short-circuit at 130 BPM. The topline is delivered in a voice that dances between cool and commanding – icy, slightly distorted, almost imperious.

“Bloodtype” is already a staple in Robin Schulz’s current festival sets – from Tomorrowland to Parookaville, from Electric Love to his Ibiza residency at the legendary Pacha. Across eight shows, he’s joined by high-profile support acts like Topic, Icona Pop, and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano.

Starting today, the track is available everywhere via Warner Music.
