SCANDAL! YouTube May Be Facing A Billion-Dollar Lawsuit
YouTube could potentially be facing a billion-dollar lawsuit over music rights.
The video-sharing site has been told to take down videos relating to around 20,000 songs from artists such as Pharrell Williams and The Eagles, or face litigation.
The Irving Azoff-controlled Global Music Rights manages the performance rights of works from Pharrell and John Lennon among others.
Azoff claims that YouTube does not have the rights to videos featuring those songs, and is threatening legal action if they are not removed.
