Irish born, Los Angeles based label boss and producer SIAN has announced the labels 100th release on the 5th December with their new compilation OCTOPUS100. The compilation will feature a hand-picked selection of tracks as well as remixed classics from artists including Pleasurekraft, Juheun, Shelley Johannson, Carlo Lio and Loco & Jam to name a few.
Skateboarding has always been a hobby for SIAN, even more so since his friendship with skating legend, and fellow techno lover; Aaron Jaws Homoki where they developed the concept of combining both elements to co-brand limited edition decks, tanks and limited edition vinyl’s.
Techno tends to have its own outsider underground culture. Skating has the same vibe, so by bringing Aaron into the mix for this collaboration has provided an edgy and diverse punk rock attitude to techno.
The idea behind the concept is to show a parallel between the two lifestyles. Both truly indie, self-taught, rebellious, outsider cultures that resulted in self-made careers involving travel and connections to alternatives cultures.
Aaron, already big fan of Octopus and the labels releases over the last few years, made this a natural collaboration, helping to drive techno in a new direction.
Octopus will be hosting a series of pop-up events “Octopus100’ in the USA towards the end of the year and into 2017, where they will be focusing on small intimate venues with no more than 100 guests, all these events will be showcasing the best of Octopus roster artists as well as the exclusive merchandise.
Early 2017 will see a follow up series called “Vs” where tracks from Mark Reeve, Gregor Tresher, Julian Jewell and SIAN have already been confirmed to be released as support singles.

Hardwell Experiments With Techno On “F*CKING SOCIETY”
Watch here Hardwell‘s mind-blowing music video for “F*CKING SOCIETY.” The international DJ leaves aside his signature EDM sound and dares to experiment with Techno nuances on this track but also on his recent album ‘REBELS NEVER DIE.’
Some might raise their eyebrows given the fact he’s implementing a darker and ravey direction for the very first time. So far, the feedback has been positive even within underground circles.
If the truth is told, “F*CKING SOCIETY” was released back in April, but it’s still a fan favorite. The notorious thundering energy makes this stomper one of the best releases of the year.
In addition, the unstoppable beat and the menacing vocals will awaken the anarchist inside you.
During these tumultuous times, it makes me angry to see how Fascism is on the rise in different parts of the world. Taking this into account, Hardwell makes no mistake by calling this incredible tune “F*CKING SOCIETY.”
Sincerely, I’m glad to see his evolution over the years with something literally out of the ordinary. No one ever imagined this chapter of his career before, yet his efforts to innovate have been well received by party animals everywhere.

Will Sparks Brings Euphoria With Techno Shaker “HARD”
If you need an energy boost today, be sure to listen to this Techno shaker called “HARD.” Will Sparks brings pure madness and euphoria to the masses with his latest offering via Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings.
There’s nothing more pleasant than listening to the deep bass, synth-leads, and thumping kick drums integrated into one single production. Clearly, it feels like an alternative version of his previous release “Come With Me.”
In addition, I can’t get over the fact that Will Sparks scored #63 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 list. Wisely, he keeps cultivating a decent legacy thanks to his adrenaline-fueled jams as well as his ability to make crowds go wild.
That obviously applies to “HARD,” as his winning formula of taking Electro House elements to Techno territory hasn’t changed. The result might sound like something that let you dance in sacred ecstasy.
Certainly, “HARD” was designed to work seamlessly in any DJ set. Above all, such a contemporary and vigorous style can overwhelm clubbers and festival-goers at any venue.
Once again, the Aussie Double Platinum producer is using his experience in creating powerful drops and breakdowns, not only to reach the top of the charts but also to leave you begging for more addictive tunes.
