Irish born, Los Angeles based label boss and producer SIAN has announced the labels 100th release on the 5th December with their new compilation OCTOPUS100. The compilation will feature a hand-picked selection of tracks as well as remixed classics from artists including Pleasurekraft, Juheun, Shelley Johannson, Carlo Lio and Loco & Jam to name a few.
Skateboarding has always been a hobby for SIAN, even more so since his friendship with skating legend, and fellow techno lover; Aaron Jaws Homoki where they developed the concept of combining both elements to co-brand limited edition decks, tanks and limited edition vinyl’s.
Techno tends to have its own outsider underground culture. Skating has the same vibe, so by bringing Aaron into the mix for this collaboration has provided an edgy and diverse punk rock attitude to techno.
The idea behind the concept is to show a parallel between the two lifestyles. Both truly indie, self-taught, rebellious, outsider cultures that resulted in self-made careers involving travel and connections to alternatives cultures.
Aaron, already big fan of Octopus and the labels releases over the last few years, made this a natural collaboration, helping to drive techno in a new direction.
Octopus will be hosting a series of pop-up events “Octopus100’ in the USA towards the end of the year and into 2017, where they will be focusing on small intimate venues with no more than 100 guests, all these events will be showcasing the best of Octopus roster artists as well as the exclusive merchandise.
Early 2017 will see a follow up series called “Vs” where tracks from Mark Reeve, Gregor Tresher, Julian Jewell and SIAN have already been confirmed to be released as support singles.

Bhaskar & Weekend Heroes Team Up On A Melodic Techno Crowd-Pleaser
Brazilian heavyweight Bhaskar teams up with duo Weekend Heroes for their new track “Stars In Your Eyes,” a dark melodic Techno jam that’s both emotive and club-ready. The artists dive into the sonic underground realm by incorporating mesmerizing, undulating topline melodies combined with heart-rendering, riding basslines, and distorted vocal riffs to drive the listener to a cathartic closing.
“Stars In Your Eyes” is a record made for both dimly lit dancefloors and epic club nights, perfectly in line with what has become Bhaskar’s signature sound through releases like his single “When I See It” with JADED and remix for Yves V and Sem Thomasson’s “Sounds Of A Beating Heart.” For Weekend Heroes, the new track follows their singles “Red Alert” and “Titans” as they continue to build a name for themselves among the international dance community.
Bhaskar began his history in 2004, still at age 12, when his first project with his twin brother Alok started. It all began as a hobby, but in a short time, they were already splitting their time between the studies and the studio. Son of renowned DJs Swarup and Ekanta, Bhaskar was inspired by his parents’ success and soon started to tour the world playing his music. Throughout his career, the Brazilian has collected a few hits to his name, including “Fuego” (157M+ Spotify streams) and “Infinity” (137M+ Spotify streams). His talents have led him to collaborate with and remix artists, including Tomorrowland resident Yves V, Moguai, Dubdogz, Wankelmut, Lucas Estrada, the Brazilian pop star Anitta and his brother Alok and Brazilian fellow Vintage Culture. Bhaskar has some more surprises up his sleeve, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
Weekend Heroes started as a collaboration project between 2 electronic scene veterans, Felix Nagorsky, aka Timelock, and Eli Baltsan, aka DJ Zombi. They met first in 2009 with a goal in their mind to create music that would be different but, at the same time, speak easily to wild audiences, a perfectly balanced blend of Progressive House and melodic techno. Since the beginning of 2010, Weekend Heroes started touring the world frequently with their dynamic and pumping live act. They play quite often to crowds of 10000 clubbers at amazing stages such as Playground Events Brazil, Atmosphere Festival Mexico, and many other prime events. Productive studio sessions never stop, and countless new EPs and remixes hit the market on a regular basis. These include remixes for the likes of Tim Healey, Tomcraft, Jerome Isma-Ae, Wally Lopez, Gai Barone, Paul Thomas, and more, which introduced Weekend Heroes as serial top sellers, remixers, and collaborators. Currently releasing on labels such as Siona, The Soundgarden, ZeroThree, Anjunabeats, Beat Boutique, Sprout, and many more, One of their earlier releases on Anjunabeats charted #1 on Beatport’s Progressive House Chart for 3 months, which made them Anjunabeats’ best-selling artists on Beatport of 2022.

Marie Vaunt Offers A Mind-Melting Experience With “Technology”
The Acid Techno Priestess, Marie Vaunt, produced mind-bending soundscapes on her latest single, “Technology.” Believe it or not, she has the ability to take you on a transcendent sonic journey in the blink of an eye.
From the opening beats, “Technology” plunges you into a dizzying kaleidoscope of sound. And when you least expect it, the otherworldly synths pulse and the hi-hats will make your feet move uncontrollably to the rhythm.
Snaking acid basslines entwine with her own enigmatic vocals, making you part of a post-apocalyptic science fiction movie inside your mind too. In a nutshell, it’s dark, futuristic, and intensely surreal.
“Technology” by Marie Vaunt is part of Drumcode’s 10-track EP called ‘Elevate,’ shining a spotlight on the skills of the up-and-coming Techno producers. Impressively, most of them are women, which means the underground scene is finally giving them the place they deserve.
On the other hand, Marie Vaunt is one of Beatport’s top-selling artists because she takes electronic music to the next level. As a result, pretty much all her jams can get your mind and body stimulated.
“Technology” is exactly a taste of what she’s dropping next…
