The hobby can be categorized as a favorite passion that you can do outside of work. Just as we have hobbies and activities that we enjoy doing, so do musicians have or have had hobbies that they enjoy doing. I chose a few artists who have hobbies that are somewhat close to people who are not famous.
Lil Wayne is a skater
Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. known by his stage name Lil Wayne, is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1991, at the age of nine, Lil Wayne joined Cash Money Records, being the youngest member of the record label, and being part of the duo The BG’z, along with rapper Lil ‘Doogie , also from New Orleans. In 1996, Lil Wayne formed the hip hop group Hot Boys with his colleagues at Cash Money Records: Juvenile, Young Turk and Lil ‘Doogie (who would change his name to B.G.).
Hot Boys debuted with Get It How U Live! in the same year. Lil Wayne gained much success with the album Guerrilla Warfare (1999). In addition to being a representative artist for Cash Money Records, Lil Wayne is the CEO of his own record label, Young Money Entertainment, which he founded in 2005.
One of Lil Wayne’s hobbies is skateboarding. The “Lollipop” rapper embraced the sport a few years ago and has since become very dedicated to practicing. He’s befriended several pro-skaters, attends skating events, and even skateboarded to the stage at the VMAs one year. Weezy also has a tattoo that reads “Baked” on his forehead, which is stylized after the Baker Skateboards logo. In October 2012 he opened up the skate park Trukstop in his hometown of New Orleans.
50 Cent likes gambling
50 Cent is an American rapper, real name Curtis James Jackson III, born in Queens (New York). He became known worldwide for his debut album, Get Rich Or Die Tryin ‘, which, along with his second album, won numerous awards. After releasing the album “Guess Who’s Back?” in 2002, 50 cents was discovered by Eminem and he signed with Interscope Records.
With the help of Eminem and Dr. Dre – who produced his first major commercial success – he became one of the best-selling rappers in the world. In 2003, he founded his record label G-unit Records, where he signed successful artists such as Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo.
50 Cent often says that working in the studio, creating new hits is tiresome. Casino and sports betting are great ways of relaxation. Being an ardent fan of the New York Giants, he bet on them in 2012 when they played against the San Francisco 49ers. Not long after, his passion for slots and betting appeared in the press, with all his fans finding out about his hidden hobbies.
DMX and his bugs
Earl Simmons best known by his stage name DMX (also known as Dog Man X and Dark Man X) is an American rapper and actor. In 1999, he released his best album … And Then There Was X, which included the hit “Party Up (Up in Here)”. He has appeared in several films such as: Belly, Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 the Grave and Last Hour. In 2006, he starred in the reality TV series DMX: Soul of a Man. In 2003, DMX published a memoir entitled, E.A.R.L .: The Autobiography of DMX.
Yes, you read that right. DMX and bugs. Now, we’re not talking about cutesy ladybugs plush toys (although that would be just as weird) we’re talking about real live bugs. Either way, DMX is big into his entomology, which if you didn’t know is the study of insects and their relationship to humans.
Ice-T is a gamer
Tracy Lauren Marrow, better known as the Ice-T scene, is an American rapper, singer and actor. He began his career as an underground rapper in the 1980s and was signed to Sire Records in 1987, when he released his debut album Rhyme Pays; the second hip-hop album to carry an explicit content sticker after Slick Rick’s La Di Da Di. The following year, he founded the record label Rhyme $yndicate Records and released another album, Power, which went on to go Platinum. He also released several other albums that went Gold.
Hip hop exploded at the same time that video games really took off, so it’s no real surprise that rappers are in their video games. But Ice-T, well into his games. If you don’t believe us, check out his Twitter feed where almost every second tweet is “Gamer Stuff”, as he calls it.
He is also a champion of the gaming community and recently called those players who give the genre a bad name.
Each rapper or to be more specific each star has one or more hobbies both common and a little weirder like 50 cents who may also like to play online casinos.
An Uplifting Song Every Woman Needs To Hear, “So Amazing”
Rising Rap artist Ronald Mkiza joins forces once again with Azalée. No doubt, their vocals blend together in perfection with such an uplifting song every woman needs to hear because they’re “So Amazing.”
Effortlessly intertwining their talents, they’re bringing an undeniable magical sound based on fierce rapid-fire bars plus soulful vibes. One way or another, the inventive flow has the mission to empower all the strong ladies out there.
“It’s about uplifting females and I envisioned singing this song to the women in my life who I want to cheer.” — Ronald Mkiza
Certainly, the unshakeable intensity of Ronald’s rhymes will catch your attention right from the start. At the same time, this element is contrasted and complemented by the delicate touch that Azalée brings to the track.
Stream “So Amazing” below via Spotify.
At just 29 years old, Ronald Mkiza is positively putting a new twist on Hip-Hop, distancing himself from sexist or misogynist Rap lyrics. In fact, he’s an integral part of the genre’s evolution, as his feel-good verses bear a cheerful message, recognizing the value of women.

Moody Bank$ Unveils New EP That Will Appeal To All RnB Fans
Moody Bank$ invites listeners along her journey through her introspective and poetic lyricism. So, press play and enjoy her 9-track EP ‘Feeling Colors,’ which embodies the true spirit of sexy RnB music.
Hailing from Austin, Texas, the talented singer captures your attention within seconds while detailing love/heartbreak narratives. Moreover, this material is packed full of sultry vocals and compositions that sound like classic slow jams from the 90s.
One way or another, these melodies push emotions that feel intimate but, at the same time, relatable. Likewise, it’s okay to curl up under a soft blanket as long as you allow your sensitive side to get carried away in the depths of her melodious verses.
Most importantly, this remarkable project wouldn’t have been possible without the collaboration of producers BLK ODYSSY and Noah Fendz. These artists go above and beyond to deliver varied sonic textures that are as rich as a colour palette.
Further, the ‘Feeling Colors’ EP makes justice to its title by becoming a vast array of stories from different experiences.
The complexity of human nature when it comes to matters of the heart makes artistic expression even more colorful. So, of course, Moody Bank$ takes advantage of this to provide cathartic masterpieces.
Lastly, “Work It Out” doesn’t have to be everyone’s favorite single, but it’s undoubtedly her best work, in my opinion.
