In Sophie Lloyd’s just-released, Mitchel Odyssey–directed music video for “Calling Out”, she joined forces with soul trio Dames Brown. As a result, they get the best of both musical worlds, Soulful House.
The visuals of high-contrast black and white lighting showcase a studio session, some scenes on the streets of London with curious pedestrians, and the last segment was filmed at the club with fans watching their live show.
The female DJ produced “Calling Out” in a dreary January as an antidote to the bad news she was facing at that time. Everyone should watch this masterpiece below.
