Why Animated Music Videos Hit Harder Than You Think

No one can deny that animated music videos change how you perceive songs. Visuals add a whole new layer of storytelling, making lyrics concrete and letting artists express things beyond what words can show.

The clip for “The Reason” remix mixes anime-inspired versions of the artists with real footage filmed in Las Vegas. Moreover, those transitions make the whole thing way more fun to watch and keep you engaged all the way through.

Needless to say, animation is an incredibly effective way to promote music. It opens the door to limitless creativity, and there’s nothing quite like the right visuals to make a song truly unforgettable.

Lastly, animated videos can engage multiple senses and cognitive processes simultaneously, making the whole experience much more immersive and stimulating.

30 Years of Dim Mak: The 2026 Anniversary Tour

Steve Aoki is taking the show on the road in 2026 to celebrate 30 years of his legendary label, Dim Mak. Even though it started in a college dorm back in ’96, it has since blown up into a global titan.

As a result, he’s marking the milestone with a massive North American tour that kicks off February 7 in Vancouver. The trek visits cities like SF and Nashville, featuring a wild rotating lineup with Timmy Trumpet, Audien, and Laidback Luke.

In addition to the tour, look out for a massive stage takeover at Ultra Miami, exclusive merch, and special anniversary releases all year long.
