Montreal-based DJ and rising dance artist Sydney Sarayeva turns up the heat with her electrifying new House single, “Caught In A Crush,” produced by Velvet Code and released via So Fierce Music in partnership with the You Do You Foundation.

Built for peak-hour energy, “Caught In A Crush” captures the intoxicating rush of a new attraction: the butterflies, the chase, and the euphoric spark that keeps you up all night. With driving rhythms, shimmering production, and sultry, confident vocals, the track marks a bold evolution for Sarayeva while remaining deeply rooted in club culture.

“I wanted to capture that high-energy, infectious feeling of a new attraction; the spark that keeps you thinking about that someone you’re crushing over,” Sarayeva says. “It could even be about crushing over your own reflection. Loving yourself first is essential before trying to love anyone else.”

A fixture in nightlife culture, Sarayeva consistently centers empowerment, liberation, queer joy, and safety on the dance floor through her music. Sonically, “Caught In A Crush” blends high-energy Tech House with sleek Pop sensibilities, anchored by Velvet Code’s signature basslines and club-ready finesse.

“Given my background behind the decks and passion for femme-forward music, I knew it needed a driving rhythm and undeniable club pulse,” she adds. “It had to absolutely move a dance floor.”

Sarayeva credits Velvet Code’s production for elevating the track with added shimmer, dynamics, and crossover appeal.

The release also spotlights Sarayeva’s collaboration with the You Do You Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering 2SLGBTQIA+ and QBIPOC music artists facing financial hardship, discrimination, or limited access to creative resources. The Foundation supports emerging talent by connecting artists with producers, songwriters, equipment, and mentorship—fostering authentic expression and emotional well-being through music.

Sarayeva hopes “Caught In A Crush” becomes a confidence-boosting anthem for listeners everywhere.

“Whether you’re on the dance floor, commuting to work, or getting ready for a night out, I want this song to be the soundtrack to feeling yourself,” she says.
