Mark your calendars for May 11th, and start packing your bags for Malmö, Sweden. In this article, I’m about to spill the beans on who are the favorites to win Eurovision 2024.

Most importantly, the Eurovision Contest holds immense importance as it brings together nations from across Europe, fostering a sense of unity and cultural exchange. Also, it serves as a platform for artists to showcase their talent on an international stage, promoting diversity and celebrating the power of music.

In the 68th edition, a total of 37 countries will participate, presenting original compositions for our delight.

Olly Alexander – Dizzy [United Kingdom]

Well, in my humble opinion, the one who truly deserves all the votes this year is Olly Alexander (Years & Years lead singer) from the United Kingdom. His song, “Dizzy, has an incredibly strong chorus that will instantly catch your attention.

Now, let me make it clear that I’m not undermining the other competing countries. However, this song sounds like a perfect commercial hit and even feels tailor-made for radio.

Moreover, it goes beyond the typical Eurovision format, where almost all the tracks kinda feel a bit theatrical. In this case, Olly Alexander does the opposite by pushing boundaries and breaking molds.

Lyrics are about an overwhelming feeling of love for somebody that’s so intense it turns your world upside down…

From a musical standpoint, the artist cleverly uses repetition, and the overall vibe reminds me of the awesome electronic synthesizers of the Pet Shop Boys!

Plus, I firmly believe that he is the favorite Eurovision 2024 contestant.

Nebulossa – Zorra [Spain]

It’s wonderful to see a song like this win in Spain, especially considering its message of rebellion and feminism. It’s crucial for the masses, particularly in Latin America where I’m from, to hear such messages, as it’s disheartening to witness the rise of radical, sexist groups.

If this catchy song by the duo Nebulossa were to achieve victory, it would be a powerful statement against conservative ideologies.

While “Zorra” translates to “bitch,” this jam highlights the more positive aspects of the word, such as bravery and overcoming the fear of judgment.

As a matter of fact, women face many challenges in Spanish-speaking countries, and I believe that Spain, too, deserves to win Eurovision because its message of empowerment can reach as many people as possible.

Joost Klein – Europapa [Netherlands]

This entry from the Netherlands is 100% addictive. I’m a big fan of European Dance music and Techno, that’s the reason why I love it, and somehow his style reminds me of the German band Scooter.

Add to this, the accompanying music video is pretty hilarious, so I guess Joost Klein‘s performance could be a big surprise for the audience.
