There are two major strains of the cannabis plant (Sativa and Indica) which differ in geographic origin as well as in physiological effects associated with the consumption of each.

The Indica plant is shorter and bushier than its Sativa counterpart and is believed to originate somewhere around Central Asia (think the Himalayas). The Sativa plant, on the other hand, is taller, lankier, and is believed to originate in much more tropical climates like those near the equator.

As we just mentioned, the Sativa plant is widely popular because of its uplifting effects. Not everyone enjoys the brain-dead feeling that often comes with smoking an Indica-dominant cannabis strain. If you prefer to share intriguing conversations with friends and participate in more intellectually engaging activities, the Sativa flower might just become your favorite!

4. Get amped before physical activity
