Theater des Westens just witnessed something absolutely insane, and you need to see it to believe it. The Hidden Cameras have completely hijacked one of Germany’s most iconic stages for their new “You Can Call” music video, and what they’ve created is a full-blown Electro-Pop explosion that’s got the entire internet shook.

Directed by the band’s own frontman, Joel Gibb, these visuals feel like a vivid dream. The singer commands the stage solo, surrounded by a whirlwind of lights. Plus, watching him pour his soul into the performance with a level of passion you’ve never seen before is quite breathtaking.

Don’t take my word for it, watch it yourself right here.

Why the Theater des Westens is the Star

What makes this release truly iconic is the historic location. The Hidden Cameras clip literally rocks the Theater des Westens, and the venue steals every frame. Using a space with this much heritage, a place that defined German musical theater, and filling it with flashing LEDs and electronic beats is a stroke of genius.

The Theater des Westens provides a gorgeous, high-drama backdrop that makes the track feel massive. Seeing Joel Gibb on that stage looking like a Pop deity pays perfect homage to the glittering heart of Berlin’s gay culture.

Indeed, it’s the perfect juxtaposition: a historic landmark meets the modern pulse of The Hidden Cameras’ latest work.

The Secret Behind That Addictive Sound

The song itself is an absolute earworm, and its most addictive quality lies in the sheer originality of the chorus. Certainly, the line “You can call me in the middle of the night…” is such a powerful hook that it grabs you immediately.

When those pulsing background synthesizers kick in, they elevate the entire melody, making the listening experience pure ear candy!

Beyond that, The Hidden Cameras have made it clear to their fans that this jam carries that unmistakable Eurovision atmosphere. In fact, it was intentionally crafted with the legendary song contest in mind.
