Oscar Bunnik
It’s always gratifying to keep one’s eye on emerging talents like Oscar Bunnik. The Dutch/Polish rapper advocates for social justice in his most recent release, “A Song For The Drunken Scum”. Besides his killer flow, his thought-provoking lyrics always open the consciousness of people to problems afflicting today’s society. In this new single, he raises his voice against discrimination and racism through the art of music.

One way or another, his passion for human rights and his studies in law motivates him to create these meaningful tunes in the comfort of his bedroom. He feels songwriting is fun and seems almost therapeutic as well. If he can’t change the world, at least is quite admirable he’s trying to follow that positive path in a creative manner.

Combining soft Jazz elements at the background of “A Song For The Drunken Scum”, makes you realize the simple rhythms or moderate tempo exalt much better Oscar’s rhymes. Moreover, he’s musically influenced by Drake, Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Stormzy, and even Frank Sinatra. Because of all this, it won’t be surprising to see him growing in popularity over time. Without a doubt, he’s a true hidden gem with a lot to offer for the Rap community.
