The New Dance Show Used To Be The Coolest TV Show In Detroit

Published

on

The New Dance Show was a TV program that aired in Detroit from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s. It was broadcast on WGPR-TV 62, which is now known as WWJ-TV and affiliated with CBS. The show, hosted by R.J. Watkins, was a local, low-budget version of Soul Train. It featured DJs from the area and regular dancers.
