DJ Sumirock from Japan broke a Guinness World Record as the oldest DJ in the world. Believe it or not, this Japanese lady is 83 years old and the Decabar Z club is her workplace in the evenings. Her real name is Sumiko Iwamura, and she also works in a restaurant serving hungry customers over the lunch hour.
Incredibly, her energy doesn’t seem to have abated. She started attending a DJ school at the age of 77, and since then, she has loved this unusual job for a woman of her age.
Luckily, her fame is growing internationally, after performing outside her homeland in countries like France and New Zealand. Furthermore, she loves to mix electronic music, Techno, Jazz, and some Anime soundtracks. Discover more about this celebrity of the clubbin’ scene in the video below.
