This Month’s New Disco House Songs Reviewed: Babert, GreySkoolEdits, Adri Block, Chris Marina
Here’s my review on the latest Disco House single releases (September 20, 2015) with new tracks from Babert, GreySkoolEdits, Adri Block, Chris Marina and Gy Fos.
Babert – Let’s Do It
Solid States Disco label pays tribute to Stars On 45 old school essential “Disco Medley” on their latest release by Babert, and it totally kicks butt! (Beatport).
GreySkoolEdits – Saving My Love In
Midnight Riot label boss Yam Who hands a debut to Stafford-based Dave Gerrard and Rob Bairstow’s GreySkoolEdits project. Predictably, they head straight for peaktime dancefloors with opener “Saving My Love In”, a brilliantly cut-up, hustlin’ rework of a well-known disco classic. (Beatport).
Adri Block, Chris Marina – Get Down & Boogie
Disco and edit wizards Adri Block and Chris Marina return to Electro WOW for a new episode of sultry funk goodness on “Get Down & Boogie”, a classic boogie monster from the ’80s transformed into something fresh! (Traxsource).
Gy Fos – Fate
Chaka Khan’s classic tune “Fate” has a new sound thanks to UK producer Gy Fos, who adds some oomph with a re-drum disco mix that incorporates that Stardust extended intro magic and it’s perfect to play loud and on repeat. (Beatport).

Get Your Feet Moving With This Funky Remix Of “Sex In Miami”

Kory Burns enlists Sean Finn for an uplifting and refreshing funky remix of “Sex In Miami.” Incredibly, the piano keys and new rhythm bring a unique and groovy element to the song.
Certainly, you can tell Sean Finn is taking the track to a whole different level. The original RnB version was released two years ago in partnership with Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Carlos Battey and Sean McMillion.
If you’re looking for a catchy tune to add to your playlist, this funky remix is a perfect choice.
With dance-worthy beats, this reworked edit of “Sex In Miami” is sure to keep you dancing all night long. So put on your dancing shoes, move your feet and forget about all your problems!
The music video features the singer taking a ride in a convertible car under the colorful neon lights of the Magic City and just enjoying the moment in good company. It’s absolutely clear, these visuals capture the carefree and joyful spirit of the entire composition.
Without further ado, I really hope you like it as much as I do.

Check Out Jessie Ware’s Disco Anthem, “Free Yourself”

Last August, Jessie Ware made a triumphant comeback with “Free Yourself.” The Disco anthem produced by Stuart Price carries an empowering message that encourages true liberation.
I really hope her upcoming fifth studio album embodies her brand new diva-esque personality. In fact, this single represents a new era for the artist herself.
Throughout “Free Yourself” she wants you to leave behind inhibitions in order to feel joyful. Moreover, the adrenaline-pumping melody and the piano keys combine to perfection the glamorous music video.
Without a doubt, her positive vibe is so contagious which makes dancing irresistible. Apart from that, I think the chorus deserves all the praise. Plus, she has a wonderful singing voice and I’m not going to discuss it with anyone.
To conclude, “Free Yourself” will prove the surge of funkiness every Disco fan craves.

The Shapeshifters And Adi Oasis Offer Present-Day Disco!

The Shapeshifters and Adi Oasis are a match made in heaven. Merging present-day Disco with extraordinary soulful vocals, “Tell Me It’s Not Over” sounds like a timeless classic already!
Of course, the talented genius behind this well-known project is Simon Marlin whose latest album, ‘Let Loose’ features 14 dancefloor fillers. Undoubtedly, the orchestral instrumentation gives such a great material an authentic feel, while setting a high standard in the music industry.
On the other hand, “Tell Me It’s Not Over” was co-written alongside New Yorker JKriv, and it’s infused with energy, passion, and spirit. Fortunately, the Disco genre never died, it still remains in underground circles and this gem constitutes a refreshing legacy.
Without further ado, this release is another brilliant addition to The Shapeshifters’ collection of outstanding present-day Disco that should not be missed. Stay tuned below.
