Protocol label head and iconic artist Nicky Romero just released his highly anticipated ‘Redefine’ EP, featuring two brand new club tracks as well as January’s single “I See.” He delivers high-energy gems “Time” and “Replica” to complete the holy trinity of club-ready records that comprise the EP, following a sonic path that both takes him back to his roots and propels him further into the realm of modern dance music. Running on an intense progressive buildup and a big, bouncy drop with percussive synths, “Time” keeps the energy high that “I See” established as the opening track. Believe it or not, 5ofclubs’ source of inspiration revolves around the positive effects electronic music had in his life. More specifically, this genre is a simple way to put your mind at ease. R3HAB and GATTÜSO team up on their new collaborative version of “Creep” – a cover of one of Radiohead’s most iconic tracks – redone with a vocal big-room house vibe, marking the first-ever recording for Spotify’s inaugural ‘mint Singles” program, a companion to its flagship dance playlist, mint, and a spin-off of the popular “Spotify Singles” series. Opening with angelic vocals over a barely-there bassline, we soon discover that this track packs a punch of attitude when the breakdown dives into a bouncy, groovy soundscape intermixed with upbeat melodies. “Creep” will feel at home on the radio and during live performances, which might make it your new go-to track for any occasion. Canadian artist Shaun Frank teams up with singer/songwriter Alicia Moffet for their new single “On Your Mind” a funky house gem with an upbeat attitude and soulful appeal. Frank gives his signature sound to the track’s smooth opening piano melodies that develop into a rich, energetic breakdown with a groovy bassline.
