After months of teasing fans with the nostalgia-meets-modern, dancefloor-friendly concept of his ‘House Party’ EP, Valentino Khan has finally dropped the full version for our listening pleasure. The six-track collection features three new tracks alongside previously released singles including the early summer anthem “Pony,” vibey house collaboration ‘”JustYourSoul” with Diplo, and the in-your-face, sassy and sultry “Better” with Wuki. Valentino also released “Flip the Switch” with Chris Lorenzo just a day before the full EP’s release, unleashing a hard-hitting, bass-heavy opener for ‘House Party’. Tech house and classic four-on-the-floor house influences are strong throughout all the tracks, but each has their own unique sound – from the bouncy “What’s Your Name” to the driving beat of “BRB,” Valentino has created tunes that are just as good through your headphones as they are from a club sound system.
“I set out to make an EP with a simple concept: great house music. Even though it’s been the backbone of dance music, I still have always looked to drive the sound forward. I wanted you to be able to listen to the music anywhere – driving in the car, in your bedroom, at the club or played out at a festival. I also wanted to bring in some collaborators that I felt have always been pushing boundaries in Diplo, Wuki & Chris Lorenzo. So here’s my ‘House Party’ EP. I’m truly proud to release this body of work to the world. Listen to this everywhere and anywhere.” – Valentino Khan
The world was introduced to LA-based DJ and producer Valentino Khan in 2014, when he burst onto the scene with his debut EP “In Khan We Trust” on Skrillex’s OWSLA label. Khan’s sound possessed a unique versatility, incorporating elements of trap, bass, hardstyle, house and more into a driving, often heavy sound that found homes on labels such as Mad Decent, Spinnin Records, and Ultra. In 2015, Khan’s original track “Deep Down Low” became an international sensation, earning the title of “Most Played Track” of the year and topping Sirius XM’s #1 Song of 2015 on Electric Area. Since then, he has earned a reputation as a remix master with official renditions of RL Grime’s “Pressure,” Alison Wonderland’s “Good Enough,” Calvin Harris’s “One Kiss” and more. His original productions include “Pump,” which has over 17M streams on Spotify, “Gold” with Sean Paul, as well as production credits for the likes of 2 Chainz, B.O.B., Dizzee Rascal, Iggy Azalea, T.I. and more. On the touring front, Khan sold out his show at the iconic Hollywood Palladium this year, featuring a b2b set with Shaquille O’Neal (DJ Diesel) and a surprise appearance by legend Snoop Dogg. 2019 has already been an epic year for Valentino Khan, and we can’t wait to see what happens in the second half!

Thomas Gold & Teamworx’s Ode To Electro House, “We Remember”
Electronic music icon Thomas Gold teamed up with Israeli heavyweight producers Teamworx for their new single “We Remember”, a nostalgic but hard-hitting ode to the OG of the electronic genre. Abandoning any previous penchant for melodic sounds, Gold and Teamworx employ minimalistic bass and mechanical synths to drive the track’s climb to an uncompromising drop. “We Remember” is simply made to be played on huge stages that can support the immensity of its sound, making it a guaranteed festival-friendly tune. The new release follows Gold’s Universal Music single “Get Up” with Eagle-Eye Cherry, and Teamworx’s collaboration with Dannic “Bump N’ Roll.”
Over the last decade, Thomas Gold has become one of the most well-known dance music producers of his time. The German artist solidified his influence in 2008, when his now-iconic remix of Delerium’s “Silence” was named Beatport’s “Best Progressive House Song” of the year. Gold went on to release on major labels including Armada, Axtone, Size, Toolroom, Spinnin’ and Revealed; his crowning success thus far has been “Magic” has almost 60M streams on Spotify. His electrifying abilities as a live performer have earned him a global following and headlining gigs everywhere from festivals like Ultra, EDC, Coachella, Mysteryland, and Tomorrowland, and clubs such as Pacha, Ushuaia, Amnesia and more. The Israeli exports and label veterans Teamworx first exploded onto the scene with Corey James and their track “Make the Crowd Go,” which received massive support from industry heavyweights and is still played by Steve Angello in his live sets. They’ve collaborated with Nicky Romero himself on “Champion Sound” and “Deep Dark Jungle,” as well as remixed his “Only For Your Love” and “Ring the Alarm.” In 2018, Teamworx played at EDC China as well as Protocol’s showcase at ADE, and this summer performed at Ultra Korea. As always, the Protocol family has plenty more up their sleeves coming soon, so keep an eye out for what’s next!
