Why Phenatiks Named Their First Release “House Music”?

Phenatiks is a refreshing duo from Los Angeles formed by Jinjun and PhilZen. Both were students at the Icon Collective Music Production School, where they met each other. Despite having different jobs and leading different lives, they shared the same interest in “House Music.“

One can assume, this is probably the main reason why their first release was literally named that way. I really enjoyed the energy this track emanates, in particular, its prominent kick drum + the old-school feel to it. Do not think too much, this is a tribute to our favorite genre.
