Grammy-nominated artist Xavier E wrote “Devotion of a Lifetime,” watching his mother care for his father until the very end, and that commitment, quiet and unshakeable, is baked into every beat. Featuring Manny Guerr, this is the eternal love song that House music can be proud of.

A Song With Two Lives
The track already had a run on Xavier E‘s independent label, found its audience, and did its thing. But then Manny Guerr came into the picture, the meaning shifted from witnessed love to lived love, and he knew the song wasn’t finished.
He flew to New York, brought Manny out from the West Coast for the first time, and together they rebuilt it from scratch at Sweet Rains Productions in NYC.
“Same song, second life — and this time the world is listening. It belongs to my mom, my dad, Manny, and me. One devotion. One lifetime.” — Xavier E
What they built in the studio
Producer Iggy Kisil made one smart call above all others keep the DNA of the original so longtime fans still recognise it, but elevate everything around it. He pulled in Audrey Martel from CHIC and Nile Rodgers‘ band for background vocals, which explains the richness you hear underneath.
Certainly, it feels like a modern House production, smooth, emotional, but danceable at the same time. On top of that, the lyrics are designed to be dedicated to the person you love most in life.
The Spanish verses were written into the rhythm from day one, which is exactly why they hit so differently. Naturally, this becomes that sexy, fiery touch that transforms the whole composition.
You can’t fake this kind of feeling, and Xavier E and Manny Guerr never try to. This is personal, deeply moving, and made with their whole hearts.

This One Stays With You
Without question, “Devotion of a Lifetime” is an eternal love song in the truest sense. Feelings like grief, joy, and devotion all living on the same dance floor.
By the time it’s over you’ll want to call someone you love, honor someone you’ve lost, or commit fully to someone you’ve found. Still think House music is just background noise? This cut begs to differ!
Somehow, across three minutes of catchy beats, these artists pull all of that off. In other words, it is love that transcends, wrapped in melody.
On a side note, the music video drops May 13th and Xavier E describes it as his most personal visual yet. And if it matches the weight of this track, the wait will definitely be worth it.
