Alok Unveils His Stunning Stage Concept At Untold Festival In Romania
Brazilian DJ and producer Alok, currently holding the #4 spot on DJ Mag’s prestigious Top 100 DJs chart, took the stage at Untold Festival in Romania this past weekend to debut his stunning new live performance concept. Created in partnership with lighting, 3D animation, and video maestro Alexander Hesse, who was the mastermind behind Swedish House Mafia’s most recent tour production, Alok’s new show left jaws on the ground with its cutting-edge fusion of multidimensional visual storytelling. Most notable during his high-energy set was the presence of a new DJ booth, which was crafted of two massive hands. Always one for symbolism, the hands represented the universe’s energy channeling through the stage so Alok can pass it along to his audience, all live while he’s performing. The energetic transfer was more than successful, with Alok’s signature sound accompanied by larger-than-life, colorful, and emotive production for a truly immersive experience that just took his live shows to the next level and then some. Check out photos and videos from Untold here to see yourself what we are talking about, and keep an eye out for tour dates to see Alok live.
“Visual experiences at shows are as equally important as music these days. While DJs always channel their energy only through music, I wanted to find a way to take my performances to the next level and communicate better with the crowd using light, video, and 3D animation. Alex is one of the best specialists out there, so we sat down and came up with a concept of an entire show that also includes a new DJ booth, made of two big hands representing the energy of the Universe channeling through the stage, which I can pass along to the audience in front of me. The result was out of this world, so I’m already confident I’ll soon collaborate with more visual art experts.” — Alok
With a strong resume full of remixes and collaborations with artists such as The Rolling Stones to Zara Larsson, from Jason Derulo to Tove Lo, and more, Brazilian Alok has gained an immense international following and is currently having his global breakout moment. He already has the second-largest Instagram following of any electronic artist globally (almost 28M), and his 20M devoted monthly listeners on Spotify have made him the most listened to Brazilian artist in the world. In 2021, he was named the 4th Best DJ in the world, according to the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll. In 2019, Alok was nominated for the International Dance Music Awards for his hit remix of the Meduza single “Piece of Your Heart,” and he also worked with global pop sensation Dua Lipa for the official remix of her hit single “Physical.” Recently he also collaborated with Grammy-award pop sensation John Legend on “In My Mind” and with renegade vocalist John Martin on “Wherever You Go” and lended his talents to remix Ed Sheeran’s “Shivers.” The sky is the limit for the Brazilian superstar.

Silver & Gold | Chapter II represents Minelli’s vision and inspirations that she gained, traveling around the world to find the perfect pitch for her youngest newborn. The artist was not alone in this journey, as great names in production and songwriting such as Freedo (Chainsmokers, Rita Ora, Galantis, Ava Max), Jordan Shaw (Afrojack, Armin van Buuren) or Yoshi Breen (Tiesto, Karol G, Lost Frequencies) collaborated with her.
Minelli teased you with three songs that you already know, “Think About U,” “Could Be Something,” and “Deep Sea,” and now she is coming with 11 more: “Silver & Gold,” “Maracatu,” “Crazy,” “Tonight,” “Drinks on Mi,” “Stay Awake,” “Vitamin U,” “Routine,” “Memories,” “Don’t U Worry” and “Kill the Lights” and she is excited to know which one is your favourite.
Minelli is one of the most successful Eastern European singers and songwriters, having written many hits for famous artists, such as ‘UP’ and ‘Flashbacks’ for INNA, or ‘Addicted’ for Sickotoy. Her releases, ‘Rampampam’ and ‘Nothing Hurts’, have dominated the music charts globally, cumulating over 185 million streams and over 350 million views. ‘Rampampam’ even reached number #4 in the Global Shazam top and #1 in Global Dance Shazam for several weeks. R3HAB & World’s First Global Pop Group Now United Drop “Run Till Dark”

R3HAB and Now United once again team up in the studio for their new Dance-Pop single “Run Till Dark,” out now via Liquid State. With the veteran producer’s chameleon-esque prowess when it comes to mastering different styles of music, R3HAB fuses breezy melodies and a soft, undulating bassline to bring a worldly, organic feeling to this euphonious song. Now United’s 18 international artists represent many different cultures and aspects of the world, which they bring to “Run Till Dark”‘s emotive and hopeful lyrics. Filmed in northwest Saudi Arabia’s ancient city of AlUla, the accompanying music video tells a story of R3HAB on a pilgrimage for the source of a song, and after journeying all day, has an incredible celebration of music with Now United. No matter if you’re a fan of electronic or softer styles, “Run Till Dark” is truly a feel-good gem, following R3HAB’s collaboration with Afrojack “Shockwave,” and on the flip side, Now United’s most recent “Forever United Tour” which saw the global pop group performing at legendary venues in São Paulo, Brazil (Allianz Parque Stadium), and Lisbon, Portugal (Altice Arena). In the past, R3HAB has also produced and written the following hit singles for Now United – “Jump” (over 57M views on Youtube) and “One Love” (54M views).
“I have always been a huge fan of how Now United represents so many cultures in harmony, so I’m beyond excited to join forces again for our new single ‘Run Till Dark’ because their vibrant pop energy pairs naturally with my vision of dance-pop. In “Run Till Dark,” we tap into the unique musical pulse the world has to offer, which we captured in our new music video shot in the mesmerizing oases of Alula. Our hope is that listeners realize we’re all running to the same pulse and, in this moment, feel how connected we are.” — R3HAB
