The new single was written during one of their studio retreats up in upstate New York. The kind of trip where phones stay in pockets and creativity takes over.
And you can hear that focused, unhurried energy in every second of this banger! This isn’t a rushed cash-in on their success.
“Talk To You” strongly reminds me of Modjo and their worldwide hit “Lady.” Without a doubt, the instrumentation, the catchy vocals, and the vocoder effects, all combined, are like honey for the ears.
Disco Got a Fresh Haircut, and It Sounds Like This
Here’s where it gets really good. “Talk To You” leans hard into that nostalgic, electrifying world. In other words, funky Disco music with real bones to it.
You’ve got those punchy, syncopated synth stabs firing off left and right. Moreover, guitar riffs cut through with attitude, and reverb-drenched vocals floating over the top of ANOTR’s signature rhythm.
In essence, it’s warm, it’s alive, and it was produced to make you move your body. It sounds like Disco got a fresh haircut, bought a new outfit, and walked back onto the floor like it never left!

In conclusion, I firmly believe some records just hit different. “Talk To You” is one of them. ANOTR and 54 Ultra have made something that feels genuinely timeless while sounding completely fresh.
It can stick in your head for days, you’ll find yourself humming it all the time, and that’s not annoying at all. On the contrary, it is the effect of funky Disco music done right!
