Madonna at MTV Awards was straight up the moment of the night. The Queen of Pop popped back onto the VMAs stage for the first time in 23 years. Sabrina Carpenter sang right alongside her on the 2026 hit “Bring Your Love,” and yeah, it broke the internet!

Sabrina on the Keys, Madonna on Top of the Piano
“Bring Your Love” kicked off the night, and the opening was just pure cinema! Madonna sat on top of a black grand piano while Sabrina Carpenter played right below her. It felt like a power move and a friendship flex at the same time.
The outfits said it all. Madonna went with a black waistcoat and knee-high boots, while Sabrina came in with sparkles and a beret. Two eras, side by side, and it just worked!
Once they left the piano, it turned into a party. They hit the choreography with the dancers, and you could feel the respect between them.
Then Madonna got lifted onto a moving platform while a choir in white veils sang the chorus. Dramatic, a little chaotic, and kind of holy- exactly what a Madonna moment should be.
Needless to say, this is my personal favorite of her recent collabs, and of course the one she just did with Kylie Minogue, “Love Sensation.”
A Big Night for the Duo
Madonna and Sabrina didn’t just slay the stage; they left with trophies too. The duo took home Best Collaboration for “Bring Your Love” and went up to accept it together.
Moreover, Madonna also won Artist of the Year and Best Dance on Air, and finished the night with seven awards in total, the most of anyone. Queen behavior!
There was also a real, emotional moment. Madonna opened up about moving to New York to become a dancer and finding her people on the dance floor. She also remembered the ones she lost there.
It felt so real, and it reminded everyone that behind the glam there’s a whole lot of heart!
