Armin van Buuren New Album 2025 Has Just 6 Trance Tracks

If you’re a Millennial like me, you probably grew up listening to his hits on Armada Music. What’s shockingly surprising is that the Armin van Buuren new album 2025, ‘Breathe,’ only contains 6 Trance tracks out of a total of 38 songs.

I understand very well that he has diversified his musical style within electronic music with new productions like Dance-Pop, Progressive House, and even Techno, but if there’s something he knows how to do incredibly well, it’s undoubtedly the Vocal Trance anthems that fill many of us with nostalgia.

Below, I’ve compiled these 6 tracks from this new material that premiered in June of this year and is, in fact, his ninth studio album.

Nonetheless, before I give you a brief review of each one, it’s important to mention that ‘Breathe’ symbolizes Armin van Buuren’s spiritual evolution, inspired by the meditation he practices every morning, which has allowed his creativity to become more versatile and free.

1. Viva l’Opera

Without a doubt, this is a special gem that stands out because it brings together two totally different worlds. The classic essence of Opera with the euphoric melodies of Trance. “Viva l’Opera” wouldn’t have been possible without the majestic voice of Ukrainian singer Natalie Gioia, who rises above the exciting rhythm that builds up little by little.

Just by hearing it, I can picture fans at festivals raising their hands to the sky and feeling the energy of this tune vibrating through their entire bodies.

2. High On Love

This jam is a perfect example of contemporary Trance music, with Pop-style vocals from Anne Gudrun. If I’m not mistaken, it premiered to the public in 2024 at Ultra Music Festival.

Moreover, it feels delicious how the sound keeps building as the seconds go by until the drop and the chorus works its magic.

3. Pulstar

With “Pulstar,” forget about vocals for a bit as he leans more toward the instrumental and experimental side of Trance. Armin van Buuren had the audacity in the best sense of the word to recreate an unforgettable classic from the late electronic music maestro, Vangelis.

As a result, you get something extremely hypnotic and even futuristic that feels like a journey at the speed of light through some distant galaxy.

4. Gimme The Love

In my personal opinion, “Gimme The Love” is the best song on Armin van Buuren new album 2025, and I consider it an anthem that hooks you from the very first second. Alessia Labate‘s passionate voice is extremely catchy and combines brilliantly with those intense and dramatic trancey nuances.

I really hope the label releases a music video for this banger. All we have for now is his live performance at EDC Las Vegas this year.

5. Sweet Escape

It’s such a fantastic song due to its beautiful lyrics. However, it quickly builds from a sense of tranquility and peace to a dope climax. This will make you jump like crazy and release everything you’re holding inside through dance.

Lucky Lou‘s delicate voice is almost eargasmic and makes you want to listen to it on repeat. Plus, it sounds like Armin van Buuren’s old-school hits, and honestly, I really dig it. For now, all we have is a lyric video of this cut.

6. Now Love Will Begin

Here we have an interesting collaboration with HI-LO and Oliver Heldens that’s much more instrumental than the previous compositions, with vocal snippet commands that repeatedly tell you “Now Love Will Begin.”

Maybe it’s a bit too minimalist for my taste, since it lacks the emotion of Vocal Trance, but it would work really well in more underground spaces or at clandestine raves.
