If you’re obsessed with Nu Disco songs, then this talented DJ and singer known as Anané will become your new favorite artist. Her recent single, “High” taken from the ‘Take A Ride’ EP is produced by some legends in the game, Louie Vega and Josh Milan.
For a good reason, this EP got six tracks with live strings from Apple Hill Quartet. Moreover, it takes you on a journey from straight-up Disco bangers to Jazzy and Funk vibes to super Chill Italo-Disco.
Anané’s Dreamy Vocals Take Center Stage
Evidently, “High” features Anané’s dreamy vocals, floating over the top of this jam. Needless to say, she is involved in making each composition a whole musical experience too. The passion and soul she puts into her art is almost hypnotic.
Overall, dope basslines and percussion with crazy string sections all around her voice will get you up out of your chair.

A Trip Back in Time
Watching the music video for “High” feels like taking a time machine back to the past, where the divas of the 70s seduced fans with their glamorous style. By the same token, Nervous Records is giving us a sneak peek of the exciting Nu Disco songs to come in 2024.
What’s more, I’m already excited to see what she comes up with next!
Cultural Diversity Enriches Creativity
On a side note, Anané is originally from Cape Verde, a small island state off the west coast of Africa.
Isn’t it great how artists can draw from diverse cultural influences to create truly unique gems?… Well, keep your eye out on all her socials to find out more news.
