Vince Clarke and Martin Gore have revealed that the name of their new project will be their initials, VCMG. Their first 5-track EP of remixes is titled ‘Spook’ and will be available on Beatport on November 30. ‘Spook’ also marks the first musical release for the pair in over 30 years. On their website, Vince explained “I’ve been getting into and listening to a lot of Minimal, Techno & House music and I got really intrigued by all the sounds. I realised I needed a collaborator, so it occurred to me to talk to Martin.”
Vince Clark was one of the four co-founders of the band in 1980, but he left a year later citing creative differences, and went on to co-found subsequent projects such as Yazoo and Erasure. However, all the problems of the past are now gone, and these talented artists are now together once again! In the video below, you can watch Martin Gore spinning the new VCMG track “Spock”.
