It’s impossible not to get hooked on Desire‘s cinematic music videos for their new Synthwave gems. This time around, “Just Another Love Song” unfolds a visual story shot in a cemetery, the perfect setting to capture a love you simply can’t let go of, no matter how hard you try.
Beneath the moody synths lies a story of obsession, one where chasing someone becomes second nature, even when you know it’s doing more harm than good.
Grab your cup of tea or hot chocolate, get cozy on the couch, and hit play on the clip below.
Anyone Can Become a Victim of Love
One way or another, the lyrics suggest that anyone could become a victim of love. I’d interpret “Just Another Love Song” as a brilliant composition about obsession, the kind that makes you chase someone without being able to stop, even into the next life.
Love can die, whether literally or metaphorically, but the photos and memories always stay behind. And that’s the trigger that keeps the obsession alive, even after that special someone is no longer with you.
Megan Louise Takes Control as the Femme Fatale
In the visuals, Megan Louise (Desire‘s vocalist) shows up as a femme fatale, the dangerous, seductive woman who lures her victims in to trap them. That’s why the cemetery, the golden gun, and the idea of her firing a bullet straight into your heart like Cupid’s arrow work as elements that seduce you first, then take you over.
Maybe she’s not actually the victim of this story after all; maybe she’s the one calling the shots, but that’s something every viewer can read in their own way.

Catch Desire Live on Tour
The duo isn’t just turning heads with these Synthwave/Electro-Pop releases; they’re also keeping busy on the road. From September through December, you can catch their performances across Canada, the United States, and Europe.
By late October, they’ll be hitting San Francisco and Los Angeles, so don’t miss your chance to see them live for an unforgettable night.
