English Duo HURTS Purple Disco Machine

As a tribute to their debut album, the English duo Hurts unleashes a fresh, electrifying take on one of their most iconic tunes. Now called “Wonderful Life ’25,” this revamped version comes with an Electro-Pop twist and the unmistakable magic touch of Purple Disco Machine.

Unlike the original that came out over a decade ago, this new spin is packed with 80s-inspired textures, giving it a more vibrant and danceable feel. The dark, moody tones of the past are swapped out for a brighter, more upbeat message.

Big names like Russell Small and James Wiltshire, aka The Freemasons, have remixed “Wonderful Life” before. But this time, Purple Disco Machine gives it a retro makeover, making it sound like a timeless classic.

A Visual Treat with a Touch of Glam and Humor

The playful music video, directed by Em Cole, oozes vintage aesthetics that’ll hit you right in the nostalgia feels. On top of that, it stars fitness champ Vicci Lee, whose sculpted physique and dance moves are nothing short of art in motion.

Shot in London, this clip stands out with a mix of glamour, elegance, and a sprinkle of cheeky humor woven into the scenes.

Certainly, it feels like the English duo Hurts is outdoing themselves, making this version a serious contender to surpass the original “Wonderful Life” from 2010.

Hurts Give ‘Happiness’ the Vinyl Treatment

Fifteen years later and the English duo Hurts is still in the spotlight. Currently, they’re celebrating the anniversary of their debut album ‘Happiness’ — the record that catapulted them into the UK’s Top 5.

Packed with unforgettable anthems, it’s the album that put Hurts on the map and has stayed stuck in fans’ heads ever since.

They’re doing it right with a proper double-disc reissue that’s finally hitting vinyl for the first time, giving everyone another reason to dust off their turntables.

The package isn’t just a lazy cash grab either, alongside the original 2010 album, Hurts have thrown in some bonus songs that were previously digital-only.
