From lawyer to singer, meet Lena Luisa, a talent on the rise you should listen to. Combining Pop and EDM, her newest anthemic track “Crazy Over You” is soaked in pure emotions. Actually, the genuine and intimate lyrics explore the most passionate feelings of a long-distance relationship like never before. So, so relatable in these modern days!

1 – First of all, who has inspired you the most artistically?

I would lie if I would have to choose only one artist. But if I’d have to pick one it would be Tate McRae – not only for her unique voice and lyricism but also for her dark vibes/emotional sound. I love the image that she represents and how easily you can connect to her music.

2 – Have you always wanted to be a singer and write songs?

Music was always a big part of my life since I grew up in a musical household. My mom used to take me with her to her live concerts – something that made me fall in love with the idea of being a singer. At the age of 6, I started playing the violin. When I was 14 I wrote my first songs and taught myself how to play the guitar.

During my law studies, I started to work as a vocalist with producers internationally focusing on EDM. After graduating from law school I soon realized that my dream is not to stand in front of the judge but on stage. So I started pursuing this dream I’ve had for a long time and can now finally say that I’m about to release my first EP starting with the song “Crazy Over You.”

I also established my own record label Lena Luisa Records under which name my EP will be released.

3 – What kind of topics do your lyrics cover?

Mostly the typical love and heartbreak story. But I also love to write about self-development, growth, and female power.

4 – What is the real story behind your new single “Crazy Over You”?

“Crazy Over You” was written when I was on an emotional rollercoaster ride. I fell in love with someone who was living over 1000 km away and I couldn’t find any way to be with this person. I was desperate and didn’t know how I should handle those emotions. I felt “crazy” for falling in love with someone so far away.

You think you’re “hopeless in love” cause you can’t be with this person but at the same time “you don’t wanna give up” cause deep inside you know it is worth all the obstacles.

After all, I’m so happy to say that we made it work and are now living together in Austria. Ironically, the guy who I wrote this song for also produced it in the end.

5 – Is this one of the best tunes you’ve recorded? If so, why?

Yes, I think that “Crazy Over You” is so special since it combines the calm verses and the powerful chorus part where you just wanna start to dance.

6 – Who would you dedicate this song to?

Definitely to the man who was the inspiration for this song and also produced it.

7 – Do you believe your vocals can fit all music genres?

No, I don’t think so. I would say that my voice is something unique that doesn’t fit all genres. For example, I wouldn’t sound convincing on a Metal or a Country song.

My voice is deep and soulful and more fitting for this emotional/dark Pop/R&B vibe.

8 – What do you enjoy the most? Working all alone or doing collaborations with producers?

I think both working ways are really important to grow as an artist. If I would have to choose I would go for collaborations since it’s great to have more creative people in the process and the ability to inspire each other.

9 – Can we expect music videos, live shows, or an album in the near future?

Yes, yes, and yes. “Crazy Over You” is the first single off my upcoming EP called ‘Alibi’ coming out in November. My goal for the EP was one music video for each song on the album and since each of the songs has a totally different vibe also the music videos will be totally different. Regarding to live shows it’s a little bit hard to predict under those pandemic circumstances right now but I’m happy to be soon on stage.

10 – What are you most looking forward to sharing with your fans in 2022?

My plan for 2022 is to release more music and also have live performances. Also, we’re currently working on a new merchandise design which we want to launch at the beginning of 2022.
