Fast-Rising Indie Artist BEAR GRIEVES Delivers Debut Album ‘TAPE 18’

BEAR GRIEVES
BEAR GRIEVES
is a 22-year-old fast-rising artist based out of Detroit. On his debut album ‘TAPE 18’, he delivers authentic indie songs that go far beyond any convenient label. Definitely, he breaks the mold as he also incorporates Rap elements and rhymes. This is particularly evident on certain tunes like “ever since u left”, “HMU”, “i’ll bring u flowers”, among others.

You will also notice a tasteful vintage-esque vibe due to the retro samples. Likewise, the lyrical content revolves around dark themes. For instance, “Ghost”, set an appropriate tenebrous atmosphere like no other on this album. Nevertheless, if I have to pick up my favorite one that would be his collaborative effort with Caleb Belkin, entitled “i’ll care for your heart like it’s mine”. Actually, it feels more than a song, it’s a true declaration of love!

On a side note, ‘TAPE 18’ amassed more than 40K streams in a single week. Surely enough, this 13-track material will reach new heights in the next couple of days. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. Give it a listen for yourself via Spotify right here.

Emerging Rapper Legacy Showcases A Poetic Flow On “Bad Feelings”

Emerging Rapper Legacy Showcases A Poetic Flow On "Bad Feelings"
21-year-old Legacy is making a name for himself mainly due to his poetic flow and rapid-fire delivery. The emerging rapper based in Arizona gained a passion for poetry in elementary school and turned to Hip-Hop in order to keep developing his creative vision. He finds inspiration in classic urban hits from the likes of 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Lil Wayne, among others. Not so long ago, he has nearly reached 10K streams on SoundCloud with an infectious track called “Hope”.

There’s no doubt, quality mastering and mixing is an essential step in order to succeed in this competitive industry. Despite it requires minor adjustments, Legacy’s jam “Bad Feelings” will surprise you with his rhyming verses and matching syllables. Moreover, the confidence in his voice reveals his discomfort with fake people, and he’s brave enough to speak the truth through art. This new tune tells a personal story related to obstacles and friends. Often, your pals can cross the line from frenemies or competitive homies to outright bullies. Beyond its concept, you can hear how the jazzy piano bars in the background makes it especially smooth and pleasant to the ears. Produced by Ocean, I think it’s worth giving it a try below.

Rapper Daniel Wilcha (SCO) Describes A Spiritual Awakening In This Song!
Today we welcome Daniel Wilcha aka SCO who expresses his faith through a spiritual rap song, entitled “I Found You”. As an indie rapper, he has worked hard to establish his signature style in the city of Yonkers, New York. With his latest single, he describes a spiritual awakening and wants to inspire listeners and share his unique experience with a higher entity.

Of course, he keeps the bad vibes away despite the current circumstances with a relatable message of hope and faith. On the one hand, thoughtful verses and rhymes make you wonder about all things that go into his mind, while on the other, it’s great to know he has found happiness in his own way. In any case, happiness isn’t what others tell you, I think everybody’s journey is individual, and that’s respectable too. SCO is working on his upcoming album, ‘Love Is Stronger Than Blood’, which is set to release this summer. Stay tuned below for more announcements!

Music Like Kanye & Wiz Khalifa, Meet Indie Hip-Hop Artist, Brve

Music Like Kanye & Wiz Khalifa, Meet Indie Hip-Hop Artist, Brve
Hailing from Milwaukee, WI, Brve is an artist and filmmaker whose music style is similar to Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa. His artistic career spans over 10 years, spreading positive energy through singles, albums, and EPs. For this reason, I think it’s worth listening to his latest project, ‘1971’. There are a total of 5 tracks where he showcases in most of them, a soothing and conversational rap tone. In my opinion, he has also got a great ear for beats. These songs are proper for headbobbing and rocking out. The title of this mixtape says it all, nostalgia is perhaps the concept that inspired the artist to create such great jams. At times, you will soon realize Brve offers versatility due to his rapid-fire delivery and flow in fantastic combination with the chilled-out vibes. Interestingly, “Pain” and “Tell Me” exemplify this sonic approach. Stream in full below.

Hip-Hop Music Worth Knowing, Stream Tony Cota's "New Approach"
Hip-Hop is a global phenomenon, so here’s a dope song entitled “New Approach” that deserves to be in your playlist! American rapper Tony Cota showcases his best-rhymed lyrics over chilled out beats produced by the one and only Dr. Jekyll.  Undoubtedly, Tony exposes his authenticity and charisma, which is determined by the artist’s natural flow. It seems he doesn’t make music for mainstream success, on the contrary, he creates songs because that’s his real passion. Likewise, his music is influenced by the mix of the American and Hispanic gang cultures he grew up with. “New Approach” was born as a soundtrack to celebrate the impact of his recent LLC on his life. If I’m not wrong, this track embraces financial success, which makes perfect sense as the genre has always been used as an instrument to communicate economic challenges too. Stream in full below.
