With sophisticated arrangements and orchestral elements, Shelley Fordred pours her heart out in a Pop ballad titled, “Do You Think Of Me.” The ongoing ache of missing your ex will resonate deep in your soul as you watch her lyric video.
“Do You Think Of Me” lays bare the bittersweet torment of longing for the past while facing an uncertain future alone. It’s incredible how you’ll be automatically transported back to your own anguished memories of love lost as she bravely puts her unfiltered emotions on display.
A Voice Like Velvet
This extraordinary singer-songwriter is influenced by legends like Olivia Newton-John, Dido, The Carpenters, and The Cardigans. Indeed, her vocals have a uniquely smooth and luxurious quality.
Furthermore, despite the raw vulnerability portrayed in the verses, listening to “Do You Think Of Me” feels akin to sinking into a plush velvet couch—soft and comfortable.
On a side note, Shelley Fordred’s Indian background adds a touch of originality to her compositions. It’s pretty fascinating how she incorporates subtle variations in tone, making the singing part colorful and incredibly expressive.
The Deep Lyrics of a Pop Ballad
Recently, contemporary Pop ballads have been on the rise on Electro Wow, but I gotta say, none of them hit me as emotionally deep as “Do You Think Of Me.”
If you pay close attention to her thought-provoking lyrics, the song will make you reflect on the profound connections you share with others. Likewise, this is when listeners can recall that old saying, “You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.”
In a nutshell, this Pop ballad is a blend of intense longings, inner turmoil, and the obsession of being reciprocated once more. Quite relatable, isn’t it?
Born to Sing
Shelley’s been all about music since she was a little kid. Singing’s been her jam for as long as she can remember. But things really kicked off for her when she decided to take her talents to the next level and study music production and songwriting at the fancy Berklee College of Music.
That’s where she honed her skills and became the artist she is today. I’m definitely excited to discover additional gems from Shelley. She seems super dedicated to her music and passionate about her art.
