Free the Radical ‘Future Phat’ – Album Review
IT SOUNDS LIKE THE SOUNDTRACK TO AN IMAGINARY MOVIE…
Free the Radical aka FTR is an Australian artist who likes to experiment with electronic sounds. One thing that caught my attention is his album artwork, I believe the range of hues represent the different ambient tones of this material entitled ‘Future Phat’.
My two favorite tracks are: “Things Either Side of Me (Part 1 – Swamp People)”, a rich experience from start to finish with melodic acid synths. “Bounce” is the closest thing to a club track /Minimal Techno/ FTR has produced.
This record finds FTR experimenting with cosmic sounds, textures, and beats, there is no need for me to describe them because I would prefer you to feel the rhythm of all the 13 tracks! Go deep into his various creative impulses now!
