If you’re not familiar with Romina’s music, “Friends” is a good soulful Pop song to get started. The Houston-based singer and songwriter makes her grand debut under her new ROME alias.
In fact, she’s stepping in the right direction after a longstanding career in different girl groups and on side projects (Romy Lombardo/Romy Lynn). The necessity of change in welcoming fresh ideas always gives good results.
Clearly, “Friends” provides such a good example of her initiative, hitting over 8K streams via Spotify.
On the one hand, her gentle voice is perfect for the mellow beats. On the other hand, genuine lyrics express deep feelings of jealousy and disappointment. It’s kinda like a deeply personal story, and I love how she’s completely upfront about it.
Moreover, its enveloping dreaminess is packed with sincere emotions into almost three and a half minutes. I feel like this tune got me so involved in her music that I now need to see what happens next…
Fortunately, the evolving soulful Pop artist confirms there will be a second single in October, so stay tuned on her socials below!
