Introducing JASH, a singer/songwriter from Kent whose inspirations range from commercial dance artists Calvin Harris and Kygo to the king of dark RnB, The Weeknd. The fusion of these influences can be heard in his captivating debut single, “Summer Time Love”, which had its first radio play on BBC Radio Kent earlier this month.
The hook – ‘Summer, summertime love’ – is delivered to us in falsetto and flows onto a catchy beat progression, which renders “Summer Time Love” a choice song to add to a Tropical House playlist. The light feel of the song contrasts with the melancholic lyrics, in which he accepts that his holiday fling must come to an end, as reality awaits him back home.
This is the lead single from his forthcoming EP ‘Never Ending Night’, which he is currently wrapping up to be released at the end of January next year.
