Rising Pop and RnB artist Kory Burns returns with his boldest and most emotionally honest release to date, “The Dizney Song,” a euphoric anthem rooted in self-care, emotional survival, and reclaiming personal peace in a world that often feels overwhelming.
Blending bright production with deeply personal storytelling, the record marks a defining moment in Burns’ artistic evolution as he continues carving out a fearless lane of vulnerability, freedom, and empowerment.
“The world feels louder than ever, and sometimes the only way to survive it is to tune it out and choose yourself,” says Burns. “Healing doesn’t always sound sad. Sometimes it sounds like freedom.”
Born during one of the darkest chapters of his life mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, “The Dizney Song” reflects Burns’ journey through trauma, healing, and rediscovering joy. What sounds playful and carefree on the surface carries a much deeper message underneath. The song is not about glorifying escapism, but about taking a moment to breathe, reset, and choose yourself without guilt.
“The Dizney Song represents taking a moment for yourself and unwinding. Go do something for you without any guilt behind it. YOU matter,” Burns explains. “Spiritually it’s showing love to the inner child and allowing your inner light to shine. Don’t let anything or anyone ever try to take your happiness.”
The idea for the track first came to life during a creative session with Grammy-winning songwriter Carlos Battey.
“I want to get high and go to Disney,” Burns recalls saying. What began as a raw expression of emotional exhaustion evolved into a polished Pop record brought to life in collaboration with producer Sean McMillion at Criteria Studios in Miami.
Growing up in South Florida, Disney became a place of comfort, nostalgia, and emotional escape for Burns during difficult moments in life.
“Nostalgia, magic, and wonder — it’s a place for all ages. I was honestly just done. It was everything falling apart at one time. Many personal battles. I felt unheard,” Burns shares.

Discovered by the late Betty Wright, Burns has since built a rising career with releases like “Radio” and “Sex In Miami,” the latter remixed by Grammy-winning producer Tracy Young. He has performed at Miami Beach Pride, Miami Music Week, SunFest, and more.
“You have to choose yourself before you choose anyone else,” Burns says. “Your peace and mental health are real things that need to be taken care of.”
Alongside the single, Burns also delivers his first-ever cover of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You,” marking a full-circle moment in his artistic journey.
