NGHTMRE & WAVEDASH have collaborated on the hardest release of the summer, a monstrous bass-driven track appropriately titled “Grave” which is out now via Mad Decent. The track’s bones are built from stabbing percussion, lacerating synths, and a menacing underlying bassline. “Grave” is the track to play to unleash pent-up anger or to get the party started, and we’d bet that NGHTMRE and WAVEDASH will be slipping this into their upcoming sets. This new release follows a busy summer full of new music for NGHTMRE, which included his “Magic Hour” EP with Pell on Diplo’s Mad Decent label and his remixes of Flosstradamus’s “MVP” and Ekali & ZHU’s “Blame.” WAVEDASH’s new collaborative EP with Quest, Devil Music, was also recently released via Mad Zoo.

Through his meticulous, earth-shattering productions and equally electrifying live sets, NGHTMRE has taken his spot as one of the leading bass producers in the scene. The Los Angeles based artist has been ubiquitous for the past several years through a slew of successful releases, from 2015’s instant hit “Gud Vibrations” to his recent “Another Dimension” collaboration with Dillon Francis. NGHTMRE’s fast-paced, exhilarating live sets have earned him a loyal fanbase; his packed tour schedule has included Lollapalooza, Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Creamfields and his own Gud Vibrations events with SLANDER. The Gud Vibrations concept began with NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s single but blossomed into a multi-event series, including this year’s sold out boat party during Miami Music Week and their own festival in SoCal. It’s always a wild ride where NGHTMRE is concerned, so stay tuned to see what this ace of bass has up his sleeve next.
Hot off the release of their heavy hitting collaboration with SLANDER, “Move Back”, WAVEDASH continued their rapid progression in 2018 with their new EP, Devil Music, on Mat Zo’s Mad Zoo imprint. WAVEDASH initially garnered attention via OWSLA comp stand out, “Bang,” which lead to heavy support from Skrillex, Kill The Noise, and more. Continuing their ascent into the upper echelons of dance music, the trio were special guests during SLANDER + NGHTMRE’s set at Ultra and EDC, also joining Kill The Noise for a Surprise b2b at the latter. The Texas-based trio have quickly amassed a following within electronic music thanks in large part to a meticulous attention to detail in their dynamic, youthful, and often turbulent productions.

Best New Dubstep Song Of 2020, “Find My Way” By JAD3D
For sure, this is the best new Dubstep song of 2020. I’m referring to JAD3D‘s hottest release on Careless Records, called “Find My Way”. You will be very stoked once you hear energetic drops and the melodic voice of Alley Parton. Get lost in with such singable verse lines straight away. What’s more, if you’re feeling the melancholic sensation on this track, then that’s a good sign as the artist has served its purpose.
The super chill piano intro + the splashing of raindrops give a clue this is not the typical track with generic Dubstep beat drum or wobbles on repeat. Actually, “Find My Way” is quite the opposite as the Chicago-based producer showcases a solid sound design and lyrical base that exudes so many emotions. The production quality is insane, so I think it deserves to top the electronic music charts anytime soon. Without further ado, expect JAD3D to continue to gain momentum in the Bass scene. It would be a crime if you forget to hit the play button down here. Enjoy it.

“WAKE UP”, The New Effort From JAD3D & Demitri Medina Via Careless Records
Who doesn’t like dark and melodic beats? JAD3D‘s properly titled single “WAKE UP”, released via Careless Records, really gave me a buzz. Trust me, it feels like a new strain of Dubstep that’s accompanied by passionate vocals from Demitri Medina, which brim with emotive impact. With this in mind, this piece is not based solely on wobble bass and electrifying synths. Conversely, the hard-hitting lyrics also carry a deep message.
Inspired by a life story of how recovery can take you down a certain path, this tune provides a moment of reflection. In terms of sound and approach, it dabbles in uplifting dynamics. It becomes crystal clear, that the softness and loudness of the music are the fuel behind this banger. In some way, “WAKE UP” bears a certain resemblance to those classic Pop-Punk/Emo hits that all 2000s kids used to love. However, instead of guitars, here you have heavy bass-driven tones and big drops. Do us a favor and take a listen below. You’ll thank us after.

GG Magree’s New Single “Nervous Habits” Ft. Alt-Punk Singer Joey Fleming
Australian powerhouse GG Magree teams up with In Her Own Words lead singer Joey Fleming on “Nervous Habits”. Magree’s sonic ambition is on full display, as she duets tight hooks over melodic Dubstep instrumentation.
Australian powerhouse GG Magree teams up with In Her Own Words lead singer Joey Fleming on “Nervous Habits”. Magree’s sonic ambition is on full display, as she duets tight hooks over melodic Dubstep instrumentation. Although GG Magree has made a name for herself through her raucous bass music, “Nervous Habits” showcases a vulnerable side through personal, refined lyrics. Both GG and Joey flex their singing chops on the single, balancing honeyed lines with angst-ridden verses that roll off like a conversation between a star-crossed couple. A deep synth bass lurks beneath the vocals, which drops into a heavy and intense breakdown that feels like wading through the darkness of this particular relationship. Together Magree and Fleming fuse raw emotion, breathtaking vocals, and bone-shaking bass to create a powerful Dim Mak debut.

GG’s indisputable talent as a DJ, producer, and singer/songwriter has made her a triple threat in the electronic music industry.
