Call Of Duty League Event
London’s kickoff Call of Duty League event brings professional esports, exclusive entertainment and behind-the-scenes access to fans and gamers with live tournament-style gameplay, VIP meet-and-greets, and a headline show by Nicky Romero, a celeb contender in the Home Series’ must-see 2v2 Hype Battle.

Esports organization ReKTGlobal announces that Nicky Romero will headline the London Royal Ravens Home Series, the United Kingdom’s kickoff event for the inaugural season of the Call of Duty League on Feb. 8-9, 2020.

One of the most influential modern electronic music artists and media moguls of our time, Romero will headline the London Royal Ravens Home Series, which marks the first hometown tournament for the team in Call of Duty League’s inaugural season. In addition to an unforgettable concert experience on Feb. 8, Call of Duty superfans will have the opportunity to connect with Romero at a VIP meet-and-greet and watch him as he takes on soon-to-be-announced celeb opponents during one of the highly anticipated Hype Battles that allow the world’s biggest stars to showcase their Call of Duty skills on the main stage at league events. For more details on the event, and to purchase tickets, head here.

The Call of Duty League is a global, city-based esports league composed of 12 professional teams, representing 11 markets across North America and Europe. In its inaugural season, pro teams compete in 5-versus-5 Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare multiplayer matches, on PlayStation®4. The professional competition features the best Call of Duty esports players from around the globe, battling for the ultimate prize: The Call of Duty League Championship.

“We’re excited to bring an incredible and historic weekend filled with unforgettable performances and festivities to Call of Duty’s most loyal fans and the community as a whole,” commented London Royal Ravens Managing Director Michael’ ODEE’ O’Dell, who also serves as Chief Gaming Officer for parent company ReKTGobal. “As headliner, Nicky Romero brings incredible energy to the stage. He has strong ties to the UK and the esports community as an avid Call of Duty player and an investor committed to helping bring esports to its fullest potential. Between the action-packed tournament gameplay with Romero at the analyst desk on Sunday, and the Hype Battle and his exclusive concert on Saturday evening, fans are in for a real treat at this can’t-miss event.”

After taking the world by storm with early hits such as “Legacy” (with Krewella) and #1 single “I Could Be The One” (with Avicii), Nicky Romero quickly proved that his talent is ever-evolving and here to stay. After launching his Protocol Recordings imprint in 2012, the renowned performer, producer, and label head continued his personal successes with a string of high-profile releases, ranging from collabs with Mike Williams & Amba Shepherd, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W, DallasK & XYLØ and Steve Aoki & Kiiara to remixes for the likes of Kygo, Rita Ora, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Jess Glynne and more. All the while showcasing his label’s roster via his weekly Protocol Radio show, Nicky Romero continues to touch down across the globe for his incredible live performances, including residencies at Las Vegas’ Hakkasan and Omnia and forthcoming shows at ageHa in Tokio, Echostage in Washington DC, Du Arena in Abu Dhabi and more.

“For years, I’ve used gaming to unwind after long nights in the studio and as a way to stay connected with friends when I’m on the road performing,” remarked Nicky Romero. “Whether it’s during a show or on social media, I love engaging with my fans. I am honored to be a part of the Royal Ravens first Home Series event and look forward to a weekend filled with all things Call of Duty.”

The London Royal Ravens event will kick off a tournament-style format that is familiar to the legacy of Call of Duty esports and former Call of Duty World League format, which featured pool play followed by a playoff bracket. Coupled with a new points system, the updated format will deliver an impactful, competitive experience for all. In addition to the hometown London Royal Ravens team, the Home Series weekend will feature the Chicago Huntsmen, Dallas Empire, Los Angeles Guerrillas, New York Subliners, Paris Legion, Seattle Surge and Toronto Ultra. Founded in 2016, the ReKTGlobal esports organization bridges the gap between the multi-billion-dollar business of traditional sports and the burgeoning business of esports and competitive gaming. ReKTGlobal owns the London Royal Ravens Call of Duty London franchise team and global esports powerhouse Rogue. The organization recently added American tennis prodigy Taylor Fritz, NBA All-Star Rudy Gobert and the NFL’s Landon Collins to its investor team, closed a multi-year deal with TIME’s Most Influential DrLupo and welcomed Michael “ODEE” O’Dell to the global esports organization as Chief Gaming Officer. ReKTGlobal also acquired both Fullcube, the leading platform and playbook provider of fan-based Insider programs, and Greenlit Content, a hybrid company behind some of gaming’s most popular editorial sites and viral branded gaming content, events and activations in collaboration with brands like Xbox, HyperX, Epic Games, Activision Blizzard and Warner Bros.

Nicky Romero’s Tune “Stay” Will Take You Back To Your First Love

Nicky Romero
showcases his softer side with “Stay”. Drawing upon the style of his 2019 releases like “Love You Forever” ft. Sam Martin, “Sometimes” with DallasK, and “Distance” with Olivia Holt, Romero trades in driving basslines and big-room synths for gently undulating instrumentals and a gently progressive drop in the new track. The Protocol label head pairs the dreamy melodies with emotive vocals, producing lines like “why don’t we stay, and not get older like we’re supposed to” that evoke the nostalgia of youthful romance. “Stay” follows Nicky’s club-ready “I See” released in January as Romero’s first single of the year.

All the while showcasing his label’s roster via his weekly Protocol Radio show, Nicky Romero continues to touch down across the globe for his incredible live performances, including residencies at Las Vegas’ Hakkasan and Omnia and forthcoming shows at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, ageHa in Tokio, Echostage in Washington DC, Du Arena in Abu Dhabi, Ultra Music Festival in Miami and more. Stay tuned to see what he has up his sleeve next.

Delivering a big-room influenced sound filled with bouncy basslines and driving percussion, “I’m Back” is a guaranteed party-starter and meshes perfectly with the CYB3RPVNK imprint’s sound. The new release is DNF’s third on the label, and first solo release, following his 2019’s “Open Your Mind” and “Touching Me” with the label’s veteran Skytech. In 2018 DJ and producer R3HAB founded his label CYB3RPVNK, a place that embraces the alternative, pushes artistic boundaries and serves as a platform to build up new artists. The imprint is currently home to R3HAB himself and a strong roster of artists, including Skytech, Tommy Jayden, Dropgun, Cityzen, and more. Among them is DNF, who found a home on the label in 2019 and has been making waves ever since. The Polish artist previously released on Ultra Records, Armada, and Sony Music before joining the CYB3RPVNK crew. Jack Trades Has The Soundtrack To Your Heart This Season, "Body Language"
Just in time for the most romantic season of the year, Jack Trades delivers “Body Language”, a sensual and yet energetic track featuring vocals by singer/songwriter Madison Olds. Featuring a future-house inspired groovy bassline and dreamy topline melodies, the sultry and smooth voice acts as the addicting icing on the cake for “Body Language.” Madison Olds joins forces with Jack Trades after charting on Canadian Hot AC radio and opening for the likes of Willie Nelson, Kacey Musgraves, Neon Dreams, and more. “Body Language” follows Jack Trades’ “Sideways” in November and is his first release of 2020. Keep your eyes trained on Jack Trades because if this is any indication, it’s about to be his biggest year yet.

STREAM/DOWNLOAD

Jack Trades made his debut on the scene in 2017 and has since made a name for himself with his brand of easy-listening, melodic dance-pop crossovers. With singles on Thrive, Armada, and official remixes for Adam K & Soha, Dropgun, and Late Night Alumni, Jack has a strong start to what promises to be a very long career. In her own right, Madison Olds’ signature vibrant vocals and emotive delivery have drawn comparisons to crooning star Ellie Goulding. Drawing inspiration from legends like the Beatles, Queen, Amy Winehouse, and more, Olds is reviving a vintage sound for the modern era. With her song “Thank You” winning prestigious worldwide songwriting competitions and landing on the Hot AC charts and her song “Moments in the Mountains” chosen as the soundtrack to the Pacific Rim Life, and we can’t wait to see her spread her wings through the rest of the world.

Forget The Original, Try This EDM Remix Of Elton John’s “Rocket Man”

Forget The Original, Try This EDM Remix Of Elton John's "Rocket Man"
Lotus Prime
delivers an infectious EDM remix. On this occasion, Elton John‘s popular hit “Rocket Man” got tweaked to fit at clubs and festivals. The LA-based producer creates a fresh tribute to a legend we all admire. With a modern touch, the driving and bouncy bassline give a new life to the original version. Moreover, while keeping the integrity of the vocals, electro-driven melodies will make you dance your skeleton out of your body. This is surely not for the faint-hearted. In short, I have no complaints about it. Hopefully, his next remix will be just as good. Stay tuned on Lotus Prime socials for more exciting news.
