Romantic Spanish Music With Antonio López Fernández – Interview

Romantic Spanish music is all about passionate lyrics, intricate rhythms, and expressive delivery. In this interview, we meet Antonio López Fernández, a true master of this enchanting genre.

1 – Antonio, what first drew you to the enchanting world of romantic Spanish music?

I have always liked to transmit the voice of my heart and the voice of my soul and to transmit what I feel at every moment. My passion for music is unwavering, and I have always believed that love is the strength and the reason for life because, without love, we are nothing.

2 – Who are some of your biggest inspirations within the romantic Spanish music genre?

My inspiration is my heart, but I have always liked the great love ballads of Spanish-language singers from the 1970s because of their way of interpreting, feeling, and emoting.

3 – What elements do you believe make romantic Spanish music so captivating?

It is the passion when performing because you transmit your feelings of joy, sadness, love, anger, despair, and regret just as you feel it. That is why I think the romantic ballad makes the public like it.

4 – Have you also worked on TV and film projects besides making music?

I have worked on TV in a daily magazine in Spain alongside a great Italian artist, doing everything in the program, and it was a very enriching experience. I have also worked in various film productions and TV series as a model, and this has helped me gain experience in music and respect for the public, which is the most important thing.

5 – Is your album ‘Desde Mi Silencio’ the only record you’ve released, or is there a new one on the way? What motivated you to release it?

‘Desde Mi Silencio’ is the first album I have published. I was motivated to publish and record it because I needed to transmit my emotions and talk about love and heartbreak in a simple and different way.

I am recording a new album with songs in English with a romantic theme and simplicity in their form.

6 – Are all the songs you write based on personal experiences?

My songs are not just compositions, they are personal experiences that I have lived of love, passion, betrayal, of falling in love that is only a dream, of unrequited love that is a mere illusion, of infidelity. I transmit these experiences in a simple way because I believe that we have all lived these situations at some point in our lives.

7 – Which of all your tracks moves you the most and why?

I particularly identify with “Deseada Locura” because it talks about a love I lived to the fullest and ultimately gave myself to. The woman that I thought loved me and that I loved was married, and I got involved by chance when I saw her with her family.

I also connect with “Te Hablo,” which speaks about those moments when you’re trying to communicate with your partner, but all she responds with is “I love you.”

8 – What is the most challenging part of singing about love?

For me, it is getting just one person to get excited and my lyrics to reach their hearts. For me, that is the biggest challenge and always respecting the public.

9 – Do you have a favorite place to write songs? Do you prefer to compose at night or during the day?

I really write and compose songs when my heart speaks to me, inspiration comes to me, and any place is good for me.

10 – Lastly, do you have any special or important announcements for your fans?

Thank you for your support and I am preparing the new album.
