Sam Smith has premiered the music video for “Writing’s on the Wall” and it’s everything the teaser promised and more. From Union Jack draped coffins to shadowed staircases and mysterious coastal scenes, Smith uses the video to share a tantalising glimpse into the world of Spectre. Watch it now!
The video, which dropped on Global James Bond Day, gives you a few more tantalizing glimpses of the movie. You’ll see Daniel Craig as Bond, looking as suave as ever, kissing Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci), and also getting close to Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux).
There are some cool shots, too, like an aerial view of the clinic in Austria, which looks a lot like Blofeld’s hideout in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Plus, a vintage Rolls-Royce is seen driving through the desert, hinting at who might be in the driver’s seat.
Sam Smith is also a big part of the clip, appearing in different locations in Rome and giving a super-earnest performance of the song. It’s a killer track that made history by becoming the first Bond theme ever to hit number one on the UK singles chart.
This is a huge deal, considering Bond themes have been around for decades!
