Shae District, known for his unique style of indie/dance music and immersive storytelling, announces the release of his latest single, “Mine,” a thrilling collaboration with acclaimed producer Veltri. The track is out now on all major streaming platforms on via mau5trap.

“Mine” transports listeners to Shae District’s imaginative universe, a future dystopian world inspired by the likes of Bladerunner, Cyberpunk, and Steampunk. The track is a testament to the innovative and genre-defying artistry of Shae District and Veltri, showcasing their ability to blend dark, complex themes with captivating melodies and accessible vocals, making for yet another stellar addition to their impressive discography. “To me, Shae District lives in an actual district. It’s themed in a future dystopian-esque world – Think Bladerunner, Cyberpunk, Steampunk. ‘Mine’ is a song that energetically spotlights the youthful and rebellious people of this District. Sonically, the song is enlivening, stimulating, and aggressive, pulling themes from Gesaffelstein and Justice styles. It’s weird, it’s dark, but it’s also digestible to those outside of the genre because of the vocals I added to the song. All of our visual branding reflects this as well. We onboarded a team of alternative actors in order to create these rebellious scenes to accompany the music,” said Shae District about the collaboration.

Making a debut of sorts, Shae District’s dystopian world is a meticulously crafted narrative environment where neon-lit skyscrapers loom over shadowy alleyways, and advanced technology coexists with gritty, industrial aesthetics. This world is not just a backdrop but the living embodiment of the music itself, reflecting the tension and vibrancy of a society on the edge.

The characters that inhabit this world are defined by their defiance, pushing against the constraints of their environment with a rebellious spirit that mirrors the aggressive and electrifying soundscapes of Shae District’s newest tune. This dynamic setting provides a rich canvas for storytelling, allowing the music and visuals to intertwine seamlessly, creating a truly immersive experience for fans.

Debjit is the frontman behind alternative dance act Shae District, combining elements of trance, house, rock, and electronic, akin to the bands Rufus Du Sol and Bob Moses. Initially a duo and now a solo project, Shae District has released three EPs – their most recent self-titled ‘Shae District’ EP was remixed by 20 producers from around the world and came accompanied with a Deluxe Version and live performance video from Nederland, CO.

Their performance has lead them to tour with Jai Wolf, perform at the ODESZA Official Afterparty with Golden Features, and share the stage with Sofi Tukker, Bob Moses, Big Gigantic, Hayden James, Manila Killa, and Phantoms.
