After teasing listeners with distinctively melody-driven releases earlier this summer, SLANDER returns to their hard-hitting, party-starting bass sound with their remix of Kill The Noise‘s “Jump Ya Body” featuring vocals by Mercedes. The duo teamed up with up-and-coming Canadian producer Tucker Kreway for the remix, which opens with electro-inspired melodies-almost fooling listeners into believing this will be a tame track-before building to a drop that intermingles stabbing, machine gun-esque synths with grinding basslines. “Kill The Noise has always been a huge influence of ours over the years! After doing our remix for his album back in 2016 we knew we had to do another one sometime in the future and we felt ‘Jump Ya Body’ was the perfect song to update and put our spin on!,” says SLANDER about the remix, which they are releasing as a free download. “Also, it was a privilege to work together with Tucker Kreway on this one! He’s an incredible upcoming talent from Canada and everyone should check out his music!” With rumors of a SLANDER tour in North & South America on the horizon, make sure to stay tuned for more details!

SLANDER first made waves in the scene when they debuted their remix of Showtek’s “We Like to Party” in 2014, coining their unique sound. However, SLANDER has proven they are capable of so much more than remixes and a singular genre. The duo caught the attention of the industry and fans alike with their original productions and an evolved sound, as recently evidenced on “Welcome To The Fire” with Sullivan King, “I Can’t Escape” with SAYMYNAME featuring Feli Ferraro and “Happy Now.” SLANDER teamed up with American Idol finalist Juliana Chahayed on their latest release “So Long,” a catchy future bass anthem with a summertime vibe. Their ability to produce both bass-heavy headbangers and emotionally stirring melodies distinguishes them as talented, multifaceted producers, not to mention their charismatic stage presence. Together with NGHTMRE, SLANDER has made their “Gud Vibrations” event concept into a bonafide lifestyle. In 2018 they sold out their Miami Music Week’s Gud Vibrations Boat Party in less than 3 minutes, and continue to branch out and grow their brand. This is only the beginning for SLANDER, so stay tuned to see what they have up their sleeve next.

Zomboy Reveals Second Single “Desperado” On Rott N’ Roll Records
Less than a month after his recently released single, Zomboy is back with his second release on his very own Rott N’ Roll Records. “Desperado” features a fresh sound and style while showcasing the growth this new career phase brings as an independent artist and label head.
“Desperado was such a fun track for me to make. It was my way of not going too heavy with themes or the complexities I would typically put into my works. It’s also the first time in a long time that I have ventured down to House tempo so it’s been a nice change of pace for me!” — Zomboy
“Desperado” is a deep dive into the vast possibilities of the complex and technical Dubstep and House genres. With a male vocal hypnotically repeating the phrase, “men, always a dead man,” Zomboy instantly draws listeners in. Razor-sharp turns and fanatical drops take the listener on a sonic experience of dynamic proportions. Experimenting as he usually does, Zomboy approaches the track with a bold yet subtle touch as he embraces the groovier side of House, a style he isn’t necessarily known for. A clear step away from the stylings shown in his previous single “Flatlined” feat. Micah Martin, “Desperado” is a testament to Zomboy’s willingness to embrace change and challenge himself while not sacrificing the pristine quality of his output.
Making his debut as Zomboy in 2011, with the track “Organ Donor,” the UK producer’s 10-year career now faces a new frontier. Moving on from Never Say Die Records, to starting his own label Rott N’ Roll Records, Zomboy stands in an exciting phase for both himself and his fans. Slowly building the label’s momentum with “Desperado” and “Flatlined,” Zomboy’s 2022 has grasped the public’s attention with an iron grip. Starting from a small town in Penzance, UK to now sharing his music with the global scene, Zomboy’s music and his upcoming movements with Rott N’ Roll Records will continue to raise the expectations of his fans.

Viral Dubstep Artist ZABO Explores Sonic Duality On ‘Dusk & Dawn’ EP
Shortly after releasing his single “Flow,” featuring C.D, ZABO returns with a brand new EP titled ‘Dusk & Dawn.‘ It’s a two-track masterpiece in which he explores the polarities of dark and light and evil and good. Opening with “Bing Bong,” it becomes apparent by the ominous, driving beat and heavy electro drop that this track represents the former side of things; distorted vocals act as the icing on the cake here and set a strong underground tone for the EP that’s perfect for late nights on dark dancefloors. Next up is “Desolation,” which transitions effortlessly due to its similar sonic feel; however, ZABO keeps it more uplifting with melodic notes instead of grating drops, ending the EP on a peaceful note.
“‘Dusk & Dawn’ features two songs; the first song on the EP has a dark and evil vibe, with a heavy electro drop. The other song has a more uplifting vibe, while still carrying on that electro feel from track 1. I felt like the title ‘Dusk & Dawn’ was a good reflection on how the two tracks contradict each other“ — ZABO.
Dan Szabo knew his love for electronic music was everlasting at a young age. He became fascinated with music composition, which led him to study audio recording technology at the well-known OIART in London, Ontario. This led to the development of his music persona “ZABO,” which was heavily influenced by the Toronto bass community. ZABO became an international sensation when his music went viral on TikTok and Douyin, making him well known in the US and China. His single “Breathe” was the top electronic music song on TikTok in 2021, having amassed 13.5M plays on Spotify, while “Drown” has been streamed internationally over 1B times across all platforms. At this early stage in his career, ZABO has a lot of exciting news and music up his sleeve, so keep an eye out for more music coming soon.

Video Game Dev Marc Straight Takes On New Challenge With First Album
On ‘Beauty In Transience,’ he lays his heart out on the table in a journey that began with the urge to progress melodically, and in due course evolved into a divine product of life’s uncertainties.
“Beauty in Transience might be different to me than it is to others. I began writing it in 2018 because I just loved melodic dubstep and wanted to get better. However, I changed it over the course of 2020 until now as a way to process the struggle of grief when losing people in my life that meant the world to me.
Now, Beauty in Transience is multiple stories, multiple perspectives all coming together to form one cohesive ideal – life can be difficult. It can feel impossible to be okay but there are people that love and need us to keep trying and one day it’ll be better. I hope listening to the album helps someone as much as it helped me during the writing process.” — Marc Straight
The album highlights a slew of female talent in the electronic music industry featuring collaborations with Yuki, Ellen Rose, Azuria Sky, Dani King, and Gracie Van Brunt. Vocals from emerging artist Immeral intensify the longing felt through the lyrics on “Stay.” He switches gears on the next track with California-based producer Eighti8 on “Distant Heart” for some headbang-worthy drops, enhanced by Dani King’s rousing chords.
A dynamic collection of swelling drops and mellifluous cadence, this 9-track album is sure to pull at one’s heartstrings. Meticulously crafted from the most delicate production and vocals, “Beauty In Transience ” is a notable feat for Marc Straight.
