The Magician just released his reimagined version of “Tarzan Boy” 1985 hit, and it’s giving the iconic Baltimora anthem a serious glow-up. The Belgian producer went full mad scientist mode on this one. He deconstructed the original cut and rebuilt it from the ground up with modern 80s-style beats, renaming it “Night To Night.”
The updated rhythm is more thunderous, the bassline digs deeper, and somehow it still feels that wild, carefree spirit that made everyone lose their minds back in the 80s.
EBM Meets Italo Disco Energy
Here’s where it gets spicy. The Magician drew inspiration from Belgian Electronic Body Music’s raw, industrial pulse while keeping those sun-soaked Italo Disco melodies that made the Synthpop decade so gloriously extra.
So, it’s like the “Tarzan Boy” 1985 edition went to the gym, got a sick haircut, and learned some new moves, perfect for today’s clubs and bars.
Baltimora’s 1985 Hit Tarzan Boy
Let’s rewind for a hot second. When Baltimora unleashed the original in 1985, it was basically lightning in a bottle. The Italian act (fronted by Northern Irish singer Jimmy McShane) created this bizarrely perfect storm of New Wave synths, jungle-themed vocals, and pure, uncut 80s chaos.
That distinctive vocal hook became part of Pop culture DNA, showing up in commercials, movies, and basically anywhere people needed an instant injection of quirky energy.

Bridging the Generations
The Magician’s not trying to replace the original, he’s showing what happens when you honor the past while fearlessly pushing into the future. Whether you’re an ’80s kid getting misty-eyed or a Gen-Z party animal discovering why your parents won’t shut up about the good old days, this revamp effortlessly bridges that gap.
