This tune from NGHTMRE and Tory Lanez will get your head bobbing for sure. Out now via Ultra Music, “Wrist” is already a splendid production where the clip has reached more than 30K streams on YouTube. The music video brings elements of fantasy in what seems to be a floating island. Without a doubt, NGTMRE’s forte is electronic music, however, his style keeps evolving into Trap/Hip-Hop melodies. “Wrist” is another authentic gem in his catalog, which will give you a boost of energy in no time. Tooty Ragu Delivers The Best Modern Rap Music On Album, ‘King Squid’

Published

on

best modern rap music
In his latest release, Tooty Ragu rounds out the album, ‘King Squid’ with seven driving tracks that reflect the best modern Rap music you are looking for. The talented indie creator wants to inspire up-and-coming young artists with his work, just as he did at the age of 15 when he made a cameo in Outlandizh’s popular clip for “Touch Me”. Hailing from New Orleans, Tooty has finally accomplished one of his goals, having his own publishing company. It may sound hard to imagine he also tuned down songs from big names in the urban industry like Tory Lanez and Bun B.

‘King Squid’ marks a brand new era for him. Not only you can bob your head to his flow, but you can also appreciate his authentic lyricism. Definitely, he got the perfect rhymes thanks to his Rap battling experience of the past. As a result, he knows how to turn up the heat with ease. Of course, besides the edgy sound of his tracks, the raps incorporate the clever punchlines, metaphors, and wordplay needed. In my opinion, the infectious one is “Day Job”, and it’s 100% relatable as well, especially during these hard times. Take a listen to this tune and many more below via Spotify.

Most importantly, Tooty has a live performance at the Twist of Lime in Metairie, Louisiana on August 9th, 2020. (more information)

JoJo Hailey
Earlier this year, the legendary JoJo Hailey reappeared accompanied by his new RnB single “Special”. A few days ago, he premiered a fantastic remix, which features the one and only Snoop Dogg. In the blink of an eye, this track has surpassed 140,000 streams on Spotify straight away.

The creative genius responsible for this hit is called Mr. Dalvin who slightly tweaked the original version with an extra dose of electronic beats. Furthermore, the romantic lyrics were inspired by Jojo’s wife Tashaunda Hailey. Literally, this song makes you feel that every day is Valentine’s day as it resembles a hymn to love.

On a side note, Jojo released “Special” on his very own record label, JT Entertainment, which promises to bring you more top-notch productions. Loyal urban music fans can find solace in this fresh remix in anticipation of future releases. Press play below.

Metafour Embraces That Old-School Rap Style You Still Love!

Published

old-school rap style
Metafour
is a rapper from Queens who embraces an old-school rap style inspired by mainstream artists. He has been active in the urban scene for over 10 years. One of the songs you must listen to is called “Make A Move”. Here, he and singer Breanna Marin convey genuine emotions like never before. Together they display their romantic side too.

On first listen, this is what I call real Hip-Hop music. Somehow, it reminds me of those 90s slow jams you’ve probably missed in decades. Nowadays, it’s pretty understandable that a different type of music dominates the airwaves. However, Metafour preserves his creative ideas to do something different for nostalgic fans. Most importantly, he guarantees there’s more great music to come.

Just take in mind, Metafour doesn’t just rhyme words pretty well, he also has the ability to make you feel his angst with lyrical delivery. Certainly, the message of “Make A Move” revolves around overcoming adversity. In plain English, let go of whatever is hurting your heart. Check it out for yourself below.

Rising Artists From Chicago Thamatic & Taj McCoy Drop “Ultraviolet”

Rising Artists From Chicago Thamatic & Taj McCoy Drop "Ultraviolet"
Chicago is home to great rising artists. In the case of Thamatic and Taj McCoy, I think they’re ready for a major label deal. They joined forces to drop “Ultraviolet”, a tribute song honoring Ahmaud Arbery and George Perry Floyd. This would not have been possible without the collaboration of international producer Aman Dembla.

After the success of the EDM futuristic concept EP ‘The Cyberpunk Trilogy’, Thamatic decided to work with many artists from diverse musical backgrounds. Sincerely, “Ultraviolet” serves as a call to stop the violence and all forms of racism and hate at the present time. On a side note, it’s one of the hardest songs they’ve written during this pandemic.

You can expect a smooth intro with thought-provoking lyrics and haunting vocals, then Rap verses merge with hard-hitting beats. Obviously, the results speak for themselves. Socially conscious tracks like this one are as powerful as peaceful protests when it comes to spurring social change. Stream “Ultraviolet” in full via SoundCloud down here.
