Meet DJ Blitz, an up-and-coming anonymous producer from Miami, who aspires one day to become as successful as his music idol, Marshmello. A must-read interview for all EDM fans.

1 – When did you first fall in love with DJing?

Back in 2018, I used to do small house parties. I got interested when I knew about Ultra in 2018 when Marshmello played it was a huge inspiration.

2 – How would you describe yourself as a music producer?

I’d describe myself as independent and sightful. I always seek new ideas for my music to be heard.

3 – Marshmello also wears a mask pretty similar to yours, so I guess he’s your source of inspiration. Is this correct?

Yes, back in 2018 Marshmello played Ultra, ever since I was pumped to one day do the same.

4 – Is it really complicated to stay anonymous as an EDM artist?

Not really, hiding behind a mask can be easy if you know what you’re doing. There’s a lot of different techniques you need to have in order to stay hidden in the shadows.

5 – How did you get picked to remix songs by Galantis & Hook N Sling back in 2018?

I was actually listening to the song “Love On Me” and sooner or later I knew how to make music to the point where I can put a beat together and I found myself interested in what I made so I decided to put it as a remix.

6 – Is this the biggest highlight in your career so far?

Honestly, yes, I want to become more out on the Internet. I’ve really been doing well in 2020, it was hard for me to understand the music industry and I did my research and now I know not everything but enough for me to succeed in a way where I can move forward.

7 – Tell us more about the new single “SummerTime Sunshine.” What’s the concept behind it?

This song means actually a lot to me. It’s been so long since I felt at “home” in Miami, so when I made this song it reminded me of what I loved to do at the beach and hang out with friends and it was a happy joyful song.

8 – What are the tools or instruments you generally use to produce music?

I love guitars, I love drums, and my bass is just something I use in every song or remix. I’m still learning but I’m moving along as I go.

9 – Have you ever tried your luck at ghost-producing for other artists? Is it ethical or unethical?

Honestly not really, if I would do this it would be a risk to my career. I feel as if I’d be cheating the system, but I’d love to one day teach all of those who want to learn how to make music.

10 – Lastly, what are your future goals for 2022?

My goals for 2022 are to finally perform. I feel confident enough to perform on stage, see my fans, interact with them on stage, and most importantly, have fun. I want to be able to make music videos on my songs because I haven’t gotten to yet.
