The absolute audacity of her “I Will Survive” being our anthem – OUR song that got us through the worst times – while she’s secretly funding politicians who want us to NOT survive and thrive! It’s such a slap in the face to everyone who saw her as an ally and icon.
Controversial MAGA Donations Explained
This isn’t just devastating for the gay community. Feminists everywhere are losing it, too! “I Will Survive” has been THE anthem for women going through divorces, abuse situations, and workplace harassment. They have screamed this song at protests and sung it during their darkest moments.
Now I find out she’s funding the same MAGA politicians attacking abortion rights, trying to control women’s bodies, AND rolling back LGBTQ+ protections. The betrayal runs so deep.
Kennedy Center Drama
The timing couldn’t be worse. Gloria Gaynor just got named a Kennedy Center Honors recipient for 2025, hosted by Trump himself. When critics begged her to decline, she refused and limited Instagram comments, knowing all her fans were furious.
Then she had the nerve to release a statement about wanting to bring “unity.” Girl, WHERE was that unity when you were cutting checks to our oppressors?…
Fans Deserve Better
What makes this worse is that she has been playing both sides. She’s made millions off our community while secretly supporting Fascist politicians who actively work against everything we stand for.
She cashed our concert ticket money, then donated it to people trying to make our lives harder. We deserved better. Your fans deserved honesty. Instead, we got betrayal with a Disco beat.
