This is really a sad day for the electronic music community. Believe it or not, after nearly three decades, Daft Punk is splitting up. The iconic French duo, renowned for their robotic costume, inspired many music producers.
In fact, I discovered electronic music myself as a kid by watching their “Around The World” music video on MTV. From that moment, my new hobby was born, and to this day, I have not stopped discovering songs with synthesized and futuristic rhythms.
According to their publicist, Kathryn Frazier, there is still no specific reason for the split.
Formed in Paris in 1993, Daft Punk are known for bringing the French underground House music style to the international charts. Despite this terrible news, they’ll always be considered one of the most influential electronic acts of all time.
Wearing special helmets to demonstrate their talent under anonymity, these guys went on to win the Grammys and be nominated on more than one occasion. Without a doubt, it’s amazing to know all their songs transcend time.
