With almost 30 years of knowledge under his belt DJing and producing in the electronic music scene, Terry Golden has picked up some seriously impressive career accolades along the way. Some of Terry’s best career accolades include having his release ‘Dortmund’ being selected for worldwide airplay in some of the biggest global brand-stores, like David Lloyd, Everlast Fitness, The Gym group, and Bannatyne Fitness, just to name a few.
Last year we have seen a massive output from Terry, he has made himself known in the scene and turned heads along the way, with radio support from some of the biggest figureheads in the industry, like David Guetta, Don Diablo, and Hardwell.
1 — Hey Terry, first off what’s up?
All good, just finishing up a fantastic year. I had a great year, made great music, and had a lot of fantastic feedback from new fans.
2 — What plans do you have for yourself this year?
I have so must super exciting stuff that is already planned for 2022. I have several releases already lined up which start with “Love The World” on the 7 of January, via Sirup Music. Later in January, a 3 track Trance 3 EP will be released via Undertake Records, and again a collab track with Devn6 in February on Sirup Music.
In March another collab with an American vocalist Robbie Rosen coming out on Play Records, which will be my first with them. Finally, my first full artist album coming around summertime. I am working on very special tracks for the album, as it will also be released on vinyl. So, 2022 is already looking super busy – very excited.
I will also be very focused on finding a great manager and booking agency, to step up the live performance.
3 — How do you think the scene will change in the future?
I actually think that the whole electronic scene will get a boost, as people just want to go back into a good old fashion rave and have fun. Lockdown has reminded lots of people of what they are missing.
So, I think both the club scene and festival scene will be booming in 2022 and going forward. We all need to lay back and just rewind – electronic music, just is perfect for that.
4 — What do you see for the clubbing circuit?
Bigger super clubs, and more clubs be run as a group with cooperating owners. This will properly mean it will be harder for upcoming artists to get into the top clubs, so I hope I am wrong – but that’s the trend I see.
5 — What are some personal goals that would you like to achieve?
Short-term growing my fans base and streaming. I must find a manager and good booking agency to help me, as I know I make good talent, and I have a good live performance – just missing the right contacts to step into the top league. After that’s taken care of, I want to go on a tour, really stepping up my game.
6 — List 3 things on your bucket list?
Mainstage performance on Tomorrowland, EDC, and Ultra.
7 — Got any collaborations in mind?
Yes a few actually, already finish 2 collaborations, which are signed and coming out in the first 3 months of 2022. I am currently working on 2 more, again with a massively talented singer, so very excited about this.
8 — What do you predict for 2022?
I truly believe that 2022 will be the kickstart for both personally and for my music career. At least the setup and base I got right now, plus the plans already set, the toolbox is loaded and ready to go.
9 — Finally, if you could leave yourself some advice, what would it be?
Keep giving yourself some breaks for music and your socials, just to keep the focus on getting things done, and keep the inspiration for more great music.
